James

For Camp Lakewood: Very nice park, easy to get to from the interstate. Super clean bath/shower. Wooded setting with little noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Danamom

For Camp Lakewood: A bit off the path and the road coming in has a few bumps, so take it slow. The owners are super friendly to the point they loaned their personal vehicle to another camper so they did not have to unhook their toad. Sites are a little close, but it is wooded, lots of shade and quiet. Since we were relocating, we had a moving van pulling a trailer which they had us park in their overflow area. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Would stay again.

Mel

For Camp Lakewood: Absolutely fabulous! The people are fantastic and everything was great. I had mechanical problems and they were so kind and helpful! I cannot say enough nice things about this place! Super clean and friendly! Offered to drive me and my dog to St Louis! Wonderful!

Uncle Shelly

For Camp Lakewood: Pretty site back in the woods. They are packed in but we have stayed there 3 times and never felt cramped. Might be because the sites are not all lined up in a row in an open field. Spot 41 is a super site spot 27 is cramped but great for overnight. Restrooms were super clean. Wifi was 8mbs download and 1mbs upload. Better than my house. Cable was clean and clear. City was doing construction on roads in, but signs were in place to navigate us around. Place was just about full on Tuesday night. Suggest calling. My only complaint was we left our reservation request on voicemail but did not receive a call back. But when we got there our reservation was in place.

Sue

For Camp Lakewood: Although clean, this campground just packs the people in. Our site was almost within arm's reach of the trailer next to us. They were friendly and helpful, but the place was hard to find.

SusieO

For Camp Lakewood: If you drive a big rig this, in my opinion, is not a great choice. We are parked next to the office wall and a wooden fence. Next to us is where folks come/go to enter the park. Other sites are in nicer wooded areas, but apparently they are not long enough for our 45ft MH.

Getting to the site had many curves and one was quite tight. The road to get here was not RV friendly.

If you are under 34ft I would say stay here, but larger go elsewhere.
