For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: Nice and quiet. Wifi and cell phone work. Full hookups. Just what we need. We took a site with a concrete pad and patio so did not have an issue with leveling. Laundry is a little small with only 3 machines but we got it done apparently 30 amp is not strong enough for a Marathon coach as he ran his generator instead of plugging in. The sites must be a bit narrow for such a big coach as he ran over the sewer hookup and broke it.

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: I am being generous with three stars. WiFi broke. Close to zero Verizon phone connection. Space was OK but not well kept. Large but little effort to keep it looking good. Approx half full timers or seasonal people. Huge piles of lumber /wood from a storm about two months ago. The piles of wood are everywhere. Utilities fine. Location quite remote. Roads are fine getting to the park.

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: We have stayed at this park several times over the years. Always found it to be a good time and had no problems. Very clean and the staff and owners are great. I have a 43 foot fifth wheel toy hauler and have absolutely no problem navigating through this campground. I wouldn’t suggest taking anything ove say 30ft though in his new back loop (its tight ive seen people struggle) other than that its no big deal ....Great little campground 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: Water (still) has a strong sulphur smell. Otherwise clean and neat.

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: Well spaced sites with trees. Needs more gravel on the roads & sites to mitigate mud. Note that some sites actually have concrete pads. We filled our tank with water before arriving based on previous comments.

Poor AT&T service, no cable service.
Abandoned landfill next door probably explains poor water quality and sulfur smell in water. We used bottled water for drinking and cooking.

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: Pleasant looking small KOA located in a wooded area surrounded by fields and across the street from what appears to be a closed landfill. We drove by but did not stay based on comments made by others about the water.

For KOA Holiday Kankakee South: Very good time yes the water is from a well and does have an odor . Staff very friendly and we found this KOA exceeded our expectations.
