For Salmon River Campground: Nice level pave sites, not close together, water is from a well with hand pump no hose connects, fill tanks at Ranger Station before camping. River is right at your camp site nice. Restrooms are pit but very clean. Fire wood at camp host for $7.00. First come first serve no red at this camp ground. 10 day stay max. Out Gov can be great sometimes.

For Salmon River Campground: Nice quiet FS park on both sides of highway few miles N of lower Stanley. Now being managed by RRM. Max stay 10 days. Great host who offered me tools and use of his generator when my generator needed some work. River side sites are literally a few feet from the river and fishing was good. Nice mostly level paved spots, well spaced, with plenty of room for slides. Dry camping only. Dump station and water to fill tanks at ranger station South of Stanley. Local store has good prices and good variety. Good hiking very near. Nice museum in Stanley. Stayed in 30' 5th wheel, June 2015
