For Upper Coffee Pot Campground: If you're looking for a place to put the crowds of Yellowstone behind - this is it. It's seems everyone we met was from Idaho Falls, and they use this campground as a perfect little getaway. The sites are spacious and well spaced to offer decent privacy. Most are along a beautiful, slow-moving fork of the Snake River. It's a great place to fly fish or to float the river (just drop in up at Big Spring and pop out at the campground). A nice trail also leaves from the campground and runs down the river to Coffee Pot Rapids - another great place to fish. It's also a bird watcher's paradise with blue herons and falcons along the banks. It's not far from the town of West Yellowstone ( 30mi) and the west entrance of the park, but once you're here you'll just want to relax by the campfire. Most sites are on reservations and booked through the summer (some offer electric), but you can try your hand at one of a couple walk-in sites. And, we can't leave a review without mentioning the incredible camp host Paul. He'll go out of his way to make sure your stay is great and he keeps everything in tip top shape.
