For McClendon Springs Campground: Quite a spectacular view of the valley but beware of the road, which is deeply rutted and muddy after rains in late May. We didn’t make it all the way to the campground. Directions: from Malta go north on ID-81 for 3 mi. Turn west on 1250 S (Tifler Rd.). Proceed 2.6 miles on a gravel/dirt road to the campground. There are some dips and ruts with the muddiest spot at about mile 2.

For McClendon Springs Campground: Nearly impossible to access. Roads in are just 2 rutted tracks. Very isolated once you get there.

For McClendon Springs Campground: not a review, found the BLM entrance signs but did not go all the way into the campsite
Directions on apps for this campsite maybe wrong. I did not find Connor creek rd on rt 81, but I did find a BLM directional sign just west of Malta, ID on route 77.
AllStays note: BLM directions say Conner Creek Rd but it looks like many maps have it marked as 1250 S. The points and directions should get you there but I will adjust it to add the other road as well.
