Highlander Flyer

For Fishermans Corner: A delightful Army Corps of Engineers campground right on the Mississippi River with concrete roads and pads. Centrally located clean bath house and a $26/ night electric hook up with a multitude of isolated water faucets throughout. Senior Govt passes gets you half off.

For Fishermans Corner: This is a small charming ACE Campround. Sites 1-25 (to the left of entrance booth when facing the river) all appear to have views of the Mississippi - even those further away. Sites on the loop to the right have vegetation blocking river views. Some of the sites on the right also seem very close together.

Sweetrolls

For Fishermans Corner: It is a lovely little park. We really like ACE parks. This one has different sized sites but they have an apron of either stone or cement for the table and fire pit, along with a cement pad. What campgrounds have that except expensive ones? We pulled in for a one night stay without unhitching and all of our 48 feet fit on the site. The rest rooms are also very nice, tiled and very clean. Yes, there is road noise and some trains but nothing a little white noise machine wouldn’t cover up. My only complaint is I wish there were not quite so many speed bumps.

Jill

For Fishermans Corner: Lovely campground with cement pads and plenty of green grass and trees between sites. Very clean. There are several big rigs here and the paved campground roads provide easy access. Sites 5, 7, 8,9 and 10 are right on the river with a nice breeze and no trees blocking. There are plenty of bugs here so one of those netted tents would be handy. Nice walking/bike path along the River. In 5 minutes you can walk out on the levy and watch a flock of pelicans feeding in the froth of the locks.

KyBob

For Fishermans Corner: We stayed here for one night on our way West and again on our way back home. This is a very nice COE Campground. Nice host and clean restroom and showers. We only heard one train in the morning. We were towing a 16 foot teardrop and did not unhook from our tow vehicle. We would stay here again.

RVGyspy

For Fishermans Corner: Nice looking park but extremely tight turns for anything larger than a pickup and camper. Pull through aren't much better for anything larger. I drove through with a 35 foot class A towing 20 car trailer. I made it but not easy. The turn in off the highway across a set of R.R. Tracks is unpaved and rough. The turn at the check in hut is extremely tight for larger rigs both directions going in and out.

Mimi and Nana on the

For Fishermans Corner: This is a nice park, clean and conveniently located. You are only 5 miles from Le Claire, 14 miles from Davenport, 8 miles from Moline, etc. close to restaurants and gas stations. There is a really nice walking / biking trail that passes in front of the park. My reason for a 4 star rating is the fact that there is limited water access and the train tracks in front of the park. I did not use the restrooms or showers; there are numerous water spigots throughout the park.
