For Cherry Glen: Pretty quiet campground full of mature trees, mostly oaks. Well spaced sites have shade & electricity. (freshwater is available at the dumpsite.) clean basic bathrooms with showers. Stayed two nights in early October, 2022. The first night the acorn “bombs” falling from the oak trees kept waking me up. Pick your site carefully.

For Cherry Glen: Due to COVID-19, you cannot come in to sign up for a campsite it must be reserved and reservation.gov and that site screws up a lot also the phone number for reservation.gov says 5 to 10 minute wait but I gave up after half an hour. Because it’s so difficult to sign up for it only gets three stars. I’ve been here before and at the site for the Saylorville Dam a number of times in like the actual park. They don’t have water at the site but they have electric and sites are easy to get into. They have dump and fill.Pretty area with a lot to do.
