For Crooked River State Park: Camped two nights Sat-Sun March 25-26, 2023; made reservations about a week in advance as it was fairly full. Nice campground, scenic spot along river bluff, only water access is at boat ramp. Decent hiking trails. Bathroom/shower needed some cleaning.

For Crooked River State Park: This is a great park. We stayed from 10/31/22 thru 11/4/22 in a site with full hookups. We appreciated that the sewer inlet was flush with ground level unlike other parks where it is higher than the sewer outlet on the RV or when there are obstacles to work over. The park staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We like that there were many things to do and places of interest nearby. One of the best parks we have stayed at so far. But, bring insect repellent. 🥹

For Crooked River State Park: Very nice campground with spacious level gravel sites. On the Crooked river where you can see the sunset and sunrise every day while also watching pods of dolphins. We didn’t use the restroom, but checked them out and they were clean with A/C. We stayed over July 4th. It was very hot and humid and a little buggy. We are in a 40ft class A with a toad. Everything was convenient including the dump station. Our site was a short walk to the river with pretty good shade.

For Crooked River State Park: We love our stays at Crooked River. This rime it was site 4, which is a huge pull thru. This campground is 15 minutes from I95, ideal for an overnight stay if you can get a reservation.

For Crooked River State Park: Nice clean campground. Good size sites and clean bathrooms. Laundry only 1.25 so we did a load even though we didn’t really need to. Came here last year too great campground

For Crooked River State Park: A beautiful, clean, well maintained campground. There are two bath houses - one in camping area 2 is new, one in camping area 1 is showing its age but it is clean. We used the laundry - there are 3 washers and 3 dryers that cost 1.25 each. Ice was 1.50 per 10 lb bag. Office staff was very friendly. Campsites 1-10 and 39-43 had less shade than others. Our site 59 was perfect. Full hookups, shade on all sides and beautiful. There are several hiking trails in the park, many nice playgrounds, putt-putt golf a Nature Center. We will definitely be back.

For Crooked River State Park: A wonderful CG with spacious and well laid out sites. Some are FHU some E/W. Electric was fine and water pressure was good at 40psi. Our site (#17) was a little too exposed for us (we faced the road) but #19 looked like a perfect site. The washrooms are immaculate though the shower pressure is not great. There is a W/D at each of the 2 comfort stations-new machines $0.75 a load.
Trails aplenty with a variety of sites, a wonderful Nature Center, check in and the ranger station is excellent and there is a small store for camping supplies and souvenirs. Mini-golf, playgrounds, kayaking completes it for the overnight campers. There are also some day use areas. Gorgeously situated on the St Marys River. No-see-ums are a problem but we were recommended (used and now recommend) Olive Ol Hair Sheen Spray with coconut, available at the local Winn Dixie (not CVS)
Convenient to I-95 and there is a Pilot gas station at the intersection with St Marys Rd.
Historical St Marys, Submarine Museum (in town) and Cumberland Island are all worth visiting while there.
