For Skidaway Island State Park: A beautiful park with great pull through sites. Facilities are dated but well maintained. The best part is the site layouts with picnic tables and a patio area. Great configuration for privacy. Welcoming staff, and great proximity to Savannah.

For Skidaway Island State Park: We were thrilled to find this gorgeous campground with huge and private RV sites so close to Savannah! There are beautiful walking trails and even bike rental! The bathrooms were very clean! Highly recommend you pick up a bottle of No Natz at check-in as the no-see ums/ gnats were relentless! We will definitely come back!

For Skidaway Island State Park: Beautiful park with well-kept amenities (playgrounds and laundry). The location was convenient daily jaunts into Savannah and Tybee Island. Arrived to stay one night, but extended to two.
Very nice pull-through sites with full hookups.

For Skidaway Island State Park: Very nice wooded private spots, quiet the new shower houses and laundry were wonderful great trails for our pups we stayed 3 night wish we could stay longer we will be back, stores close enough franchise type eateries.

For Skidaway Island State Park: We were looking for some place different and wow what a near future lace his is, a state park local to shopping and restaurants. Seriously this place is beautiful and pretty quiet. We love the tree with Sonia moss and the fact that it’s 70degrees in December. We will be back.

For Skidaway Island State Park: We stayed here 3 nights in July. We were in site 71, 50 amp, 40# water pressure, 2 spigots. The campground is very open so you can see most of your neighbors. However, the sites are very large so there is some privacy. The campground is under a huge live oak hammock with little understory giving a very picturesque setting. All sites have raised platforms for the table and a tent. The main roads are very wide and the secondary roads are passable for the largest rv's. The 2 main hikes are very nice and wildlife is abundant. We did have an issue with chiggers. I don't know where we picked them up, in the campground or the hikes, but both my wife and I are covered in them so beware. Other than the chiggers, this is a super great campground with good staff. We washed clothes in a newer speed queen washer/dryer with a very reasonable $1.25 per machine. Much of the park has recently been updated. There is very little to dislike about this place except the chiggers.

Family Adventures
For Skidaway Island State Park: Great campground! We stayed 5 nights here while exploring Savannah and really enjoyed our stay. The sites are big pull throughs with plenty of space between neighbors. Great nature trails also. We will be back for sure!
