For Holbrook Pond Recreation Area: No recent reviews so I I thought I’d put one in. We actually stayed here over St. Patrick’s Day weekend this past March. Spent a lot of time in Savannah so our time was mostly mornings and late evenings. It appears we may have been in a newer section given how the park was laid out. There are pull thru’s. Indeed the section we were in was almost all pull throughs. All pretty long. All were gravel with concrete pads with tables for sitting. Ours actually faced the tent sites but no one was there so it was very private. Base is not “handy” since it’s a big Army training base and there was training ongoing. But, if you are military or otherwise authorized to use the place that shouldn’t bother you. Reception folks were great. Didn’t meet the camp host but he seemed busy keeping the place clean and tidy. We will definitely return if/when we are thru that area again. Power, water and sewer all were non-issues. Can’t speak to cable or other TV items since we don’t use. Overall, very nice and well designed and cared for out of the way park. Which we like.

For Holbrook Pond Recreation Area: Not sure where the other reviewers stayed but my experience at Holbrook Pond RV area was terrible. Area around RV pads were unkept and messy. Looked like a homestead for active duty patrons. Bugs terrible, training explosions during the night, dog run area was in severe need of cleanup and grass mowing. NEVER AGAIN HERE.

For Holbrook Pond Recreation Area: Very nice campground. Staff and hosts were very friendly. Site and facilities very clean. No sewer hook ups would be a problem for long term but we were short stay and using dump station was fine. We enjoyed the camping feel. It is a bit out of the way. GPS didn't pick it up, used 144 and bldg number for GPS. Free laundry.

For Holbrook Pond Recreation Area: Really nice campground. Nice and quiet with large sites that are easy to get into. We were on site 2 and had excellent wifi the entire week and no TV reception problems there. Only minor drawbacks were the lack of sewage for long stays and the isolation if going to go anywhere beside on post. Bath houses were spotless. The campground allows drainage of grey water on to ground and has a portable black water tote that can be used as needed. Host and staff were good. With the price as compared to others around the area and Savannah, it is a great deal. We stayed in a 35 ft TT.

For Holbrook Pond Recreation Area: Nice quite, no pull throughs, but easy to park plenty of room between sites. Staff plus on site host are great and very helpful. WIFI was spotty on some sites. Blackwater must be taken to campground dump. Fishing at lake with permit, store within a couple of miles with fuel and resturant. Camp site wells patroled by MPs. Also free wash & dry at laundry.
Would have a five except for spotty wifi and waste dump.
