James and Cheryl
For Yonah Mountain Camping Resort: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Yonah Mountain Campground. The campground is right off Hwy 75 so it easy to get to. The roads inside the park are gravel and have lots of dips and holes. They need repair, but we got to our site without much issue. Just go slow. Office was closed due to virus, but they use the phone to do all business. We never actually met any of the staff. they have both pull thrus and back ins. More back ins than pull thrus. Some are 50 amp while some are only 30 amp. All are gravel sites with fire pit and table. The fire pit is just old semi tire wheels which I think is tacky. They are full hook up. We had site #50. This site is not level, . We had to raise the back and the side by one foot. The bathhouse is nice. The pool was closed. The clubhouse and the laundry room was closed. I understand the laundry room has been closed long before the virus came around. They have garbage but no recycle disposal. Most sites have some type of shade. The campground has lots of trees and many sites are divided by trees. They have Wifi which was pretty good. TV antenna could only pick up a few channels and sometimes it was intermittent.
They do not have cable. The park has a nice play ground area for the kids. So here is the bad. They are close to the Hwy so you get the road noise during the day. The sites are pretty close to each other and there is no real scenic views from any sites. The worst is the gravel roads and the amount of traffic on them. There is another trailer RV resort that backs up to this campground. Lots of vehicles coming in to get back to that part of the park. The gravel road makes way too much noise and dust. They should at least pave the main road coming in and out. I would not come back unless they are the only game in town.

For Yonah Mountain Camping Resort: Get your choice of sites! Idk about y'all, but that's amazing. Clean bathhouses, plenty of space, local everything, plenty to do around the area, GREAT PRICE, polite and knowledgeable staff. Definitely will be back here next time we come to visit Helen.

Mama Sparta
For Yonah Mountain Camping Resort: We came in a 31 ft motor home and were able to choose our own site. The roads are gravel and our site was level. I enjoyed seeing a good mixture of long timers as well as seniors and families. Our site was a little muddy but I can see areas where they are trying to improve with flower beds and natural growth. Nice little playground and very clean bathhouse. Everyone was very nice. Perfect location outside Helen,GA. Will definitely come back.
