For McKaskey Creek Campground: Corp Campgrounds are like finding hidden gems. McKaskey is in the small range of the corp camping areas, but well worth the say. They have a good mix of RV/Travel Trailer sites and Tent sites, if your a tenter added bonus for you! Most of the tent site are on the water. For you RVers..... Most of the sites are spacious and have a blend of privacy. I personally stayed in site 10, close to the restroom/shower yet the site was facing a wooded area with plenty of privacy.
During the week the entire site gets very calm and quite, however expect a crowd on the weekend. As for the host, very nice and willing to help where they can. I’d recommend this campground for a weekend getaway all the way to us full timers... It’s a great place for a bit of R&R in a heavily wooded park yet close to the Cartersville area, check out the downtown area while you are there.
As with any Corp camping I always suggest, leave it better than you found it!!! This helps keep those pesky rates down and parks open... If your with the Corp and reading this, please please stay open year round in this area, if you need volunteers let us know. We love your campgrounds year round :)
