For Morganton Point NF Campground: Rvs have a nice graveled campsite with Water and electric & most have shade. More expensive than most federal campsites because you pay extra for water if it’s at your site. $52 per night but 1/2 that with the golden Age pass. Camped in site 19 July 5 through July 7, 2024. Dk blue berries falling, and that means purple bird poop to keep cleaning off rig. Quiet with newer, nice clean bathroom/showers which were right by my Site. Tent campers are 1/3 mile from bathrooms. Road to highest numbered tent sites is full of potholes. Recommend staying in site 32 or less. Lowest numbered sites for RV and tent campers have nice water access. Sign says Your camp fee includes fishing.

For Morganton Point NF Campground: When you arrive the friendly camp host will bring his iPad to have you fill out everything that you already filled out online to reserve the site on Recreation.gov because the concessionaire, F.I.N.D does not receive the reservation information from Recreation.gov. This seemed inefficient and silly to me, but the host is only doing what he is told. The best part of this campground is that the bathrooms/showers are very clean. It’s heavily wooded and there are pretty views with the lake. In the showers you have to keep pushing the water saver button to keep the water flowing, but the shower water was a decent temperature and pressure. I only saw two RV campsites that are level, the rest are very unlevel. We had one of the more level sites, and with auto levelers down, one front tire was off the ground about 4 inches and the other tire about 2 inches. The electrical connection was quite a way from the end/side of the gravel campsite, so we had to use an extension cord. The water spigot is not close to the parking area either……. Not sure why the forest service designed it this way. There is also a dump station that has both non potable rinse and potable water fill water at the station near the restrooms. You can buy wood and ice from the camp host.

For Morganton Point NF Campground: Agree with prior review on the bathhouse. It’s the nicest (seems new) cleanest I’ve ever encountered! Four shower stalls with separated dressing area and plenty of hooks for hanging your towel, clothes, toiletries. The shower has plenty of hot water but it’s dictated by those timed, push button dispensers so you wind up pushing the button every 45 seconds or so. But it’s a super clean and freshly tiled. The campground is nestled amongst a thickly vegetated forest overlooking Lake Blue Ridge above the Toccoa river. The sites aren’t level for the most part but we made it work with only modest leveling. Most are w/e with an available dump station and there are several primitive walk-in sites as well in the upper loop. As stated, the hosts are friendly and accommodating and are happy to deliver ice and firewood to your site.

For Morganton Point NF Campground: The sites were well kept and the bathrooms might be the best campground bathrooms in history! Camp hosts were great too. They have bagged ice and seasoned firewood for sale $7/bundle. The lake was also very calm when we were there.
