Terry

For Vogel State Park: This is the most noisy campground I have ever been to. With highway 19 on one side with heavy traffic and truck jake brakes, and highway 180 on the other side with loud sports cars and motorcycles. With 90 campsites someone is always coming or going followed by a couple hours of leaf blowers each day. To top it off there is a major construction project just beginning that has made a mess of the entry roads and adds a lot of noise all day long. Campsites are between 1/4 - 1/2 mile from the small lake that has very limited access for bank fishing. On the positive, there are several nice trails, mini golf is in decent condition as are the canoes and pedal boats. There is free WiFi if you are in a good position to receive it. Phone reception is very weak. There are several bath/shower buildings that are in good condition but need more regular cleaning. I may return in 2-3 years but there are better options nearby.

For Vogel State Park: Vogel is one of our favorite State park campgrounds! They have just completed a total renovation of the entire campground and made most of the sites full hookups!! This campground is small, but extremely private (which we like)! There is plenty of hiking from the campground and you can even access the AT from one of the trails from the campground.

Tom and Rose

For Vogel State Park: My wife and I just returned from Vogel and I will say we were thoroughly impressed with the campground, Bear Hair trail and especially the hosts we met while there. The hosts Jeff and Denise are the nicest and hardest working hosts we have ever met and they took our stay over the top. Being a top rated campground, is made possible with hosts that make each stay as fun and pleasant as possible. Props to Jeff and Denise.

Lindana

For Vogel State Park: My husband and I are very big fans of state and national campgrounds. We came in today to Vogel State Park and the noise of leaf blowers has been continuous since our 2PM arrival. It is now 5:30. As camp hosts we know how hard volunteers work to keep our parks beautiful, but consideration should be given to our guests and a 5 PM "quiet" time for maintenance machinery should be applied. Very disappointed this evening.

Disappointed that leaf blowing machines are still running at nearly 6 pm today. Love our state parks but consideration should be given to guests. Machines have been non stop since our 2pm check in.

For Vogel State Park: Great park for families! Bathrooms were clean and staff was very friendly. The kids had fun fishing and kayaking on the lake. Plus, the beach was great for my little one! We will definitely go back!
