For Lake Winfield Scott NF Campground: Park is showing its age. We have been here several times the last 35 years with little sign of updates or improvements.
Camp hosts were very nice and active. NO cell service, WiFi or TV. Campsites are spaced nicely with north loop sites being closer together. Only 4 sites have water and electric connections but they have several water outlets available next to the road for other camp sites to use. Bathrooms were fairly clean with each one having a shower. 18 acre trout stocked lake with trail around it. Lake shore areas are becoming chocked with some kind of grass/weed in several areas.
Warning: Hwy 180 from Vogel is extremely curvy and narrow with NO shoulder. Be careful with all the blind curves.
