For MCLB Albany RV Park: This is a very pleasant campground for a short stay. There are about a dozen long term residents and 7 sites for short term campers. The base is not close to anything but most of your needs can be met on base. The clerk who checked us in said they don't print maps for security reasons. Hogwash! I can see the entire base layout on my GPS. Someone just doesn't want to do the work of producing maps. All hookups worked fine. The campsite was gravel with a concrete apron and fairly level. All sites were spacious. You have to go to building 3600 to pay as there is no office or camp host on site. Don't expect any pertinent information on the base or area. Cable had only one channel. OTA tv was just as bad. There was no bathhouse and little area to walk the dog. The wifi was slow but worked well. There was a garbage can at each site. Getting onbase was a challenge. There is a commercial gate on the back side of the base. If you come in the main gate you have to coordinate with the guard to open a bypass gate. Clearance at the main gate is only 13 feet.

For MCLB Albany RV Park: Gate personnel were very friendly and helpful. My GPS brought me to the back gate but rather than try giving me directions to the area, I was escorted to the area. My site was the easiest to get into of any I have used to date. Will definitely stay here again.

For MCLB Albany RV Park: Nice csmpsitr. Laundry and facilities immaculate! A tad upset that the pool was closed for the season already. Near NEX and commissary. Lots of gnats but, no mosquitoes! ! Brought our bikes anf everything was easy to get to. Will return :)
