For Bs Marina and Campground: Very nice, friendly and helpful people. This is a fishing camp however and it does not rate 5 stars. They pack them in VERY close together.

For Bs Marina and Campground: I hate to write a review because I loved the place so much and do not want it to change. Yankeetown is wonderful! There is not much there but locals (400) and weekenders. It is "old Florida" and I hope it stays that way. You have to drive to the next town to get supplies (check out the local hardware store) and Ikes kitchen on the river - best pan-fried grouper ever!

The campground itself is quaint and rustic. There is not much flare by modern standards; it is clean, beautiful and quiet - and I like it just the way it is. Hellen, the manager, will go out of her way to make you comfortable, set-up and introduce you to the other weekenders. She is awesome!

My parents rented kayaks which only took a phone call; chatted to all the locals about honey-hole fishing spots, and walked the community everyday.

No-see-ums are a real pain. They are infested! Dont waste your money on chemicals/repellents; I found that sunscreen or thick vitamin E lotion was a better and safer alternative.

I will be back! I stayed here in a motorhome.
