For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: We stayed here in late March. FABULOUS park!! Extremely well run, staff is top notch and friendly too. They lead you in to your site and will help hooking up if needed. The first couple of days the WIFI was a bit iffy especially in the evenings. That would be my only negative comment about this place. Super easy to get around in and leave. Having a shuttle for the Old Town Trolley was a huge plus for us! And VERY reasonably priced too. The gentleman that drove us to the trolley (Bud) gave us a few tips as to where to eat. We took his suggestion for Sunset Grill on A-1-A, EXCELLENT seafood! We would eat there in a heartbeat if in the area again.
You can't go wrong staying here, it's evident they're putting a lot of money and effort into improvements. We stayed here in a fifth wheel.

For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: Booked 2 spots for a early November Saturday night while traveling through to Disney. Paid in full, no problems. Next day they call me back to cancel unless I wanted to book a second night - because, they "should have told me they have a two night minimum". Poor business practice in my mind. If you have a minimum tell me up front. Then it is my decision to book there or elsewhere. Calling back when I paid in full 24 hours earlier is not cool.

For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: Fabulous place! I'm not sure where those past complainers stayed but it's not the same place. The grounds are manicured, the staff is attentive and constantly around asking if things are going ok and if we had any questions! Each of the facilities are spotless! The dog park is THE best we have seen. It's large and newly fenced with water and plenty of space to run! The cost was $50 per night without a concrete patio and $75 with a concrete side patio. We do have a dog and didn't choose a patio. It was very quiet and peaceful! The location is ideal with the beach 20 minutes away. We will definitely stay again! It's behind the Dollar General on SR-207 it's quite a successful business and it shows! Love the place!

Capthunter
For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: I would consider this RV Resort a ripoff.
This biz exemplifies a growing trend of biz owners purchasing an older RV Park, throwing a new entrance building up, hiring min wage folks with name badges and declaring theirselves a RESORT.
Prior to the ownership transfer, RVers could get a spot for $40 a night, now $85! Monthly is now $1400 !
COMING SOON,...NEW Yada, yada, Yada.
Guess who is going to pay for all the new amenities?
You get a blank spot, with some gravel currently.
The best message that we can send out to these money grabbers is to......not patronize.

For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: Very nice campground, campers are not close together. Bathrooms are
very clean. Owners are very nice and helpful. I would recommend Compass RV Resort to anyone.
It is a true campground and has no mobile homes on site.

For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: Didnt actually stay here. Our group cancelled phone reservations but were charged $25 each. Cancellations were made WELL in advance....over 6 wks. Policy is in email confirmation but they don't tell you on phone. Beware. Travel to St. Augustine frequently will never stay here.

For Sun Outdoors St Augustine: Stayed here mid May 2016 in 5th wheel. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Gravel (not sand) roads and sites, some with concrete patio pads. Very clean bath and laundry in multiple locations. Great wifi with 4 towers throughout park. First 250mb/day download was free with option to purchase larger, faster speed capable of streaming ($16 week). Loved their website with photos of all available sites for desired date, on line booking. All sites appear to be big rig friendly. Size of sites vary with cost. Cable TV with 30 plus stations. No pool or I would have rated higher. Paid $42/nite (weekly rate) for pull thru which seems fair for high tourist area. RV park centrally located in a very nice part of town. Tour bus stops at park ($12 parking in old town). Did not see any seasonal or run down RVs. Saturday nite fire with music was a pleasant surprise. Had reservations at the state park but found roads and sites too tight for fifth wheel.
