For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: Huge place. Some sites ok size some dangerously tight. Try parking 39 ft trailer between trees and large roots. Lots of rules, not a friendly group even some of the other campers. Lots of activities if you’re interested in that stuff. We just wanted peace and quiet. Very overpriced for what we got. Insist on a premium site or keep looking.

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: When you check into the park your front windshield covered in love bugs you call the front office to ask if you can hose off the bugs as a courtesy, and are told no hoses allowed but you can use Windex and rag Hmmmm The speed limit of 10 mile an hour according to the info will be strictly enforced, what a joke golf carts and car’s we’re just flying through the complex. Not the cheapest place to stay but the outside bar is handy

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: Outstanding resort that is well run and has most activities most people could want. The courts and game areas are all lighted and in good numbers: pickleball courts(16), a dozen bocci ball, shuffleboard, etc. This is an excellent camping resort. The only issue is the poor WIFI. FOR SUCH A GREAT PARK, a small investment in signal amplifiets and new routers would get them a 5+.

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: Awesome and huge resort. Seems there is something there for everyone. The pool area is amazing with decent prices on drinks and food. Spaces were a little tight being close together. Very nice people running that place that treat you like you're there for a vacation...not an inconvenience. Would have given it 5 stars if not for one thing: on weekends they sell access passes to the public for $10/pp. Pool was overcrowded, people drunk around kids, even saw a fight break out. For $70+/day I don't want to deal with that.

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: We are on the last night of an 8 day stay. We love it. The resort is HUGE but easy to navigate--a golf cart is highly recommended unless you stay in the 'Queeen' or 'King' sections which are within easy walking distance of all the action.
If you get bored staying here it is your own fault because there is something to do all day long--organized games, workshops and classes, a huge pool with a poolside bar, live music on weekends, dances, a fully equipped wood working shop, a day spa, etc. There are lots of permanent residents but they have been welcoming and friendly without exception, and are a big part of the appeal for staying here.
Sites come in all sizes. We are in a 40 ft MH and were easily able to get in our site but there are some sites that would have been too tight for us, so be sure to specify how big you are when making reservations. The wifi is iffy (which is typical for most campgrounds) but the cable TV is decent, and we had no problems with the water pressure. There are nice grocery stores, shops, etc within a few minutes' drive and there is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area. There is a store onsite but there isn't much in it so don't count on doing any shopping without driving outside the resort.
We have had a great time here

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: This is a high end RV resort with a multimillion dollar "Health Club" in the GORGIOUS city of Sarasota Fl. They are quite expensive but a nice experience if you want an all enclusive park. It has a Restaurent, poolside tiki bar, fun slide for kids (never seen it open the 3 times I have been here). Two jacuzzis one adult one cooler for kids and I 2 story health club. In door pool, spa, steam room and exercise floor. The gate greeter is friendly but the office staff leaves a lot to desired. Health club staff are wonderful and very friendly.

For Sun Outdoors Sarasota: This place is huge, (over a mile of highway frontage), and severely overcrowded. Tight spaces mixed in with park models. We were led to our grassy back in spot by a staff member in a golfcart. He pointed to our spot and then hightailed it out of there - I've never seen an electric cart burn rubber before. Most RV parks offer guidance getting in to a tight spot - not this guy though. Fortunately, the guy parked across the street helped out after moving his car out of the way.
Price was very high and I expected to get decent WiFi. Wrong. They state in the rules that you will be disconnected after an hour, but I could never stay connected longer than reading half a dozen emails. Most of the time I couldn't even connect to any website.
The traffic on the narrow interior roads was so heavy we couldn't take a walk without fearing getting run over by a car, golfcart, or bicycle, the latter two being piloted mainly by joyriding kids.
Would not stay here again or recommend it. We stayed in a 26' travel trailer.
