For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: Clean and quiet park. Staff was great and manager exceptional, always able to reach him and he’s always helpful and pleasant. Not a lot of completely shady spots but most have at least one spot sometime during the day to sit out in the shade. Spaces are relatively level with concrete pads to park, enough room between neighbors, and well maintained and trees trimmed back. As someone else mentioned, still a lot of evidence of Michael damage but recovery is under way a d it’s going to be very nice once completed. The laundry is clean and only a buck fifty a load. Showers and bathroom very clean although I didn’t use the showers. Rec room very nice with pool table, tv, DVD’s, puzzles and games, tables and chairs for large groups. Central between Panama City Beach and Mexico Beach . We visited St Joe’s area a few times while staying there. Only recommendation I have would be playing TAPS at sundown rather than 10 pm. You do get flight noise here and there, but in my opinion that’s not a negative.

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: Michael was very friendly and helpful and the park was a great place for a couple of days to enjoy the area. Although there is lots of reminders of Hurricane Michael in 2018 the area is rebuilding and will be beautiful again sometime soon. A great place for a base camp to explore Panama City Beach and Mexico Beach. We will be back.

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: Friendly staff, showers, community center and laundry were all super clean. Like the earlier post, they are still rebuilding but it is coming along nicely. Mike was great about letting us know when a spot was available. There are quite a few full timers there due to the housing situation but I think Mgt is handling it well. We were in Site 86 with lots of room all around. Will definitely stay here again!

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: We had called a few days ahead and Mike told us what needed to be done and took our information. He even gave us his cell phone if we had any questions on arrival if it was after hours. That says a lot. We found dealing with his staff to be just as good. Very pleasant group.
The park is still suffering from Hurricane Michael but it is coming back big time. We were in overflow for 4 nights. It’s a noisy gravel lot but it has full hookups. That’s nice!! We got a call from Mike a space had opened up and spent two days in the actual park. Nice picnic tables with small gazebos. No fire pit and no WiFi. That is something they need to get. Plenty of local TV stations. Water and electricity all good. They also do mail and packages coming into the park..that’s great. We’d definitely use this facility again.

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: We didn’t stay at the camp, but were on our way home with in our RV after spending several days of dry camping down the coast on the bay areas in this part of Florida. Stopped by and asked if we could use the dump station even though we hadn’t stayed there. Staff are very friendly and allowed us to use the service free of charge. In our book that friendly A+ service goes a long way which is typical of staff and camp hosts we’ve encountered at all of the military camp grounds. Although the grounds were heavily effected by Hurricane Michael in October 2018, the facility has bounced back First class sites, laundry and bath house, as well as propane fill station on the premises.

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: This FAMCamp has done remarkable turn around in the months since Hurricane Michael. Tremendous work has been done to make this place a place that both the active duty and retired community can enjoy with pride and comfort while they try and put the base back together. The staff was very helpful in assisting us to get to the camp and making our short stay enjoyable. We look forward to staying here in the future as we come to visit our friends who have retired in the area.

For Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB: From Tyndall FamCamp Facebook Page. "The Tyndall FamCamp will now accept retired military based on availability. We do not accept reservations. Rotation every 90 days is still required. Site fees are 525.00 for 30 days for all sites. Please call the office at 850-283-2798 to check availability a few days before you arrive."
I'm staying here now. Until recently the park was only for active duty and DoD contractors helping to clean up the base from the damage of Hurricane Michael. Not much resemblance to before hurricane Michael came through last October. Most of the green vegetation is gone, but sites are nice size with plenty of space between. Weekly rate is $160
