For Sigsbee RV Park: RVing at the NAS in Key West is wonderful and more than $150 cheaper than any other option. But you have to be flexible. As mentioned in an earlier review reservations are now required. You can make them beginning 180 days in advance (not 6 months). In peak season, you start out in dry camp and rotate into sites with services which you have for two weeks. There are two locations. Trumbo point is all dry camping and no rotations. Sigsbee rotates and moving is required when it’s your turn. There is a Facebook group called Sigsbee Shufflers that provides information, organizes events and the like. It’s a great easy to make connections.
I strongly recommend going to their website and finding their ‘Welcome†booklet to find all of the rules. And if you have questions call the office.
The condition of the camp goes up and down. The cleanliness of the bathhouse depends on the cleaners. This season they are great.

For Sigsbee RV Park: We spent 21 nights with W/S/E-50 Amp in a 38 Ft. Class A Motorhome. Due to a tight right turn off of U.S. Route 1 onto Sigsbee Rd, we recommend following the alternate route directions described on the US Military Campgrounds and RV Parks website. The campground office was easy to find and provided good parking for both motorhome and disconnecting the tow while checking-in. Our site had a large concrete pad with a composite picnic table. The Wi-Fi and cell phone reception was good. We had no problem using our Dish Tailgater for TV programs but received no programs via TV antenna. Downtown Key West is just 10 minutes from the installation (watch out for the parking fees). Our only complaint for this campground is the laundry room was always dirty. We had to wipe down the machines and tables before each use. Overall though, this campground was very good and we would certainly stay here again.

For Sigsbee RV Park: We were very lucky. We drove in our travel trailer in April 2018 to Sigsbee without a reservation. We didn’t know the rules changed. But, it was a weekday and were able to make a reservation in parking lot. Now you need a reservation for all camping. There were no full service campsites available so we had to dry camp for a week. It’s okay if you have a generator which we did. But forgot to bring our big blue boy. We love Key West and Sigsbee. You will too because it wasn’t crowded like wintertime.

For Sigsbee RV Park: They changed the rules. BEWARE, u MUST HAVE A RESERVATION to now stay here!
Used to be their motto was we never turn anyone away. Today we were turned away from a half full park because we did not have a reservation, something they began less than a month ago!
They told us to call 877-navy beds. We called only to be told they will not make a reservation on a weekend day of arrival or for the next day if it is a weekend day. They also said no availability for the next two weeks. Again, a half full Park! And this IS FOR DRY CAMPING!
The camp host said keep calling back, but after 8 or 9 tries of receiving similar responses or being told their was no availability, we gave up and were fortunate to find the last availIble site at Boyd's for $180 per night!
Reservationists at the 877 number said her hands were tied, it their rules. Camp host said his hands were tied, its their rules.

For Sigsbee RV Park: We love staying in Sigsbee RV Park! Everyone is very friendly and helpful!
If you are thinking of coming here, then there are a few things to be prepared for. Plan to "dry camp". Yes, generators are allowed--0700-2300. Either bring a portable one or get a generator "exhaust" extension for your RV generator to direct the "fumes" away from your neighbor! (Not required but is being courteous)
"Full Hook-ups" are on a "rotation" basis. Everyone "rotates" at Sigsbee. The "Rotation List" is posted daily so, you can "guesstimate" when you will rotate to "Full Hook-ups". "Variables" are length of your RV, handicap. Active Duty not stationed in Key West are able to make reservations. Fairest System I have seen!
Showers and laundry get busy, so be flexible! ?
Camp Hosts are Super! Friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable!
We will be heading there again!
You cannot stay anywhere in the Keys for $14/24 a night!
