For Koreshan State Historic Site: I’m getting tired of State Parks over charging for sites. Over $40.00 for a state park site is too much. Also, stop allowing homeless volunteers and homeless hosts and trashy homeless units in parks.

For Koreshan State Historic Site: Great little park - the sites are level enough but narrow with vegetation between for privacy- att 1-2 bars

For Koreshan State Historic Site: A haven in the metro sprawl. We stayed for two weeks in October, in the area for a particular reason and not wanting a FL RV ‘Resort’. The Koreshan historic site and other amenities were closed due to Covid-19, and the park was less than 50% occupied. Our site was narrow and deep, and very well screened by palms, palmetto and lianas. We did launch our own kayaks, and found the river to be beautiful heading upstream. Downstream it is a couple of miles before you pass the housing, and then quite wild and natural.

For Koreshan State Historic Site: Stayed 3 nights in 35ft class A. Easy access from I75 (about 5 miles). Publix is nearby. Sites are separated by heavy foliage which offers privacy. The Koreshan Unity settlement and exhibits are fascinating and worth the visit. The last surviving Koresh members donated this land to the state for use as a park.

For Koreshan State Historic Site: The last reviewer was spot on. I have never seen Florida State Park in such disarray. We had reservations for five nights but could not get into any of the sites because of the over growth. Not only has a grown in on the sites and over the sites it’s hanging over the road to the sites. The paved road going in is all cut back and looks normal until you hit the loop for the campground. We had to find somewhere else to go. And we were lucky enough to find a place which such short notice Ortona South campground. In my opinion this campground should be closed until it can be cleaned up. Not fair for people traveling to get stuck with such a mess. Tryed to stay September 2000.

For Koreshan State Historic Site: We were really looking forward to staying here in the park because of all the great reviews. However things changed quickly after arriving there. I must say here all the staff was friendly and tried to be as helpful as they could. We stay in a lot of FL state parks because of all there is to see in this great outdoor state. After checking in we went to our site to setup. On line it states it is a 44 foot site. Well if it is it is pushing it. Also the site and road was grown up with vegetation I could barely get the trailer in the site. We have a 33 foot travel trailer, nothing special. It took me twenty minutes just to get in and unhooked, again because of the trees and vegetation being so over grown. We were to be there for two weeks, and it was over Memorial week. Knowing they would be busy we expected a few things to be unkempt however the bath house ( only one for entire campground) was dirty most of the time. To get to the bathroom/ house you had to walk through vines, limbs and whatever else was in the way. Not a good thing at night when you need the bathroom. The pictures you see on the website are nothing like what it’s like now. Shame on the top ranger and state for letting it get in this condition. Stay was May 19th 2019 - we left early because of its poor maintenance

For Koreshan State Historic Site: Great small campground. Easy access. Convenient to shops, roads and attractions. Easy walking trails and interesting park along a river. Great rangers. Sites are fairly private and natural setting although some are tight and not level. Gravel and sand. Fairly quiet. Bathrooms are just ok and need updating. Might not be ideal for really large rigs.
