For West Thompson Lake: Easy check-in; friendly, informative volunteers who keep the sites beautifully maintained, even raked! The sites are long, wide and well shaded. The campground is in a quiet area but not too far from retail stores if needed. The dump station is a little sketchy due to no sealed connection. Just drop your hose in front of the inlet and let 'er rip. The immediate area around the inlet showed evidence of a recent hazardous spill which supports my shock that this setup is allowed anywhere. Even if the state doesn't require a sealed connection, it should be done anyway.

For West Thompson Lake: This is a wonderful campground. The sites are far apart. Very private. Has a nice picnic table and campfire ring. The site is level and well-maintained. The lake is beautiful and there are well-maintained paths for hiking and there is a larger path for biking. It does not go all the way around the lake because the bridge is out but it’s still in A very nice trail. Our site 9A has 50 amp service and water hook up which was a surprise. Very peaceful

Tinker's Toy

For West Thompson Lake: Very nice campground. Sites are level with shaded tree seperation, fire pits, and a clean rest room with h/c water, & free shower. The Army Corp dam is scenic for kayaking, and with well marked hiking trails
