For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of trees. Close to US40, but enough cover to cancel most of the highway noise. We were there in early October and the place was not crowded. They had shut off the water and were removing tables from the sites. Bathrooms were a little dingy, but clean. The campground stradles the scenic Yampa River and some sites are close to it. A city bus stops in the campground for those wanting to go into town but not move their rigs. Stayed in a camper van and would probably stay again.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Beyond being the only RV park in Steamboat Springs and the terminus of the free bus ride into downtown; this KOA has nothing to recommend it. Most of the smaller back in spots are power and water only. All the spots are very close together. The dump was built backwards so that outgoing RVs have to become incoming RVs to dump. The roads are a combination of concrete, dirt and gravel so that when the early summer afternoon shower comes things get muddy fast. The big willows next to the north side fence shed small limbs all over RVs and the ground when strong winds blow. Like many KOAs this one also encourages wood campfires. A discussion with office personnel about the dangers campfire smoke for people with asthma and other breathing problems elicited a cold shoulder and the statement that so long as the State allows open burning this KOA will also.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Very helpful staff. Numerous amenities including a store, play area , pool , full hook ups showers and rest rooms.
The campground is very close to the main highway that goes through Steamboat Springs . There is some road noise but there is also a bus stop very close to the entrance of the campground . I would stay here again .sn746r

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Stayed for 4 nights in Nov 2019. Stayed in an electrical hookup only site. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Laundry room was clean but pricey (almost 5$ to wash and dry one load). Staff was friendly. Would have given 5 stars except the pads were dirt and grass, no concrete or gravel, so it made for a muddy stay since we had rain and snow.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Worst RV Park experience ever! Things went ok until we were getting ready to leave and started to fill our fresh water from the tap labeled “NOTICE DRINKING WATERâ€. I noticed too late that that tap was supplied from the same “T†fitting used for sewer hose flushing and marked with two signs “NOT DRINKING WATER†& as I recall “WATER IS NON-POTABLEâ€.
I queried this and an employee came over, started yelling at me and tore down one of the signs. After a tirade he said I should pull into a full hookup site to fill the water. I decided to drain the few gallons of water in the fresh tank before filling with fresh. We were still in the process of draining and hadn’t started to refill when another employee came out, told us it was our fault and we had to leave, which we did with a now empty and possibly contaminated fresh water tank.
I emailed the manager about this issue, but 9-days later have not received a reply.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: Staff was friendly and KOA is close to Steamboat. Other then that, we didn’t care for this one. Well below what we have seen at other KOAs. Showers need updating and were dirty when we we checked them. Hookups need some work, but we’re operational. Expect to share patio areas with your neighbor. Way too much money for what you get here. Try to dry camp at one of the many state campgrounds.

For KOA Holiday Steamboat Springs: 64.oo a night in late september. Wi Fi totally useless. Dump area didn't have operating rinse hose. And the ice cream bars in the store were nearly 4.00 apiece. No book exchange like many others offer. Little knowledge of the nearby attractions. Go to the state park nearby instead
