For Shady Grove Campground: This place was very nice. I didn’t know places off 70 could be so relaxing. Very well taken care of, nice people, and even complimentary coffee in the morning. Just stayed one night but it was very clean.

For Shady Grove Campground: This was a great overnight campground.site partly shaded. Has a dog park easily accessible and clean. Leveling was easy, and site was small rocks and grassy on passenger side. Originally we were staying 3nights but had to cancel the other 2 due to our pet needing medication which was only available in Colorado Springs where we were headed. Owner was very understanding. We traveled in a 40’ class A with a toad.

For Shady Grove Campground: A nice one night stopover as we made our way West to Colorado. Quiet place in small town. Full hookups, good rates, level sites. We always enjoy our stay here.

J Cyrus

For Shady Grove Campground: As first-time RV owners from the Denver area, we chose to go here for our shake down trip and were pleasantly surprised. The sites were level and easy to pull into, even for newbies like us. The hookups were easily accessible, the WiFi was pretty good, and there was a little wooden picnic table for us to use. We didn’t have any issues with free roaming dogs. In fact, there was a nice little dog park next to the site which we very much appreciated. This isn’t a luxury sort of stop full of entertainment and adventure, but I’m giving it 5 stars because as far as low-traffic small towns go I felt they did a lot of things right. The communication from the owners was above and beyond and they were very welcoming, considerate and helpful. The check-in and check-out times were flexible. The laundry facilities/restrooms were simple, but clean. The grass was trimmed and the environment was peaceful and quiet. Overall we are glad we spent our first night here and would love to stay here again sometime. As for quick fun trips, we went a little further east to Burlington and spent about 45 min at the Kit Carson County Carousel and Museum which was interesting and extremely affordable (if that’s your sort of thing).

Jayzee

For Shady Grove Campground: Not bad for a stopover. Owners very nice, good price. Site was level, WiFi very good for streaming. Showers pretty basic but private. There were loose dogs in the area that were friendly but if you have a reactive dog be careful.
