For Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort: We are presently at Echo Basin. We have found the conditions to be very pretty and comfortable. The Bar and Restaurant is a plus. It is out in the country away from the railroads and highways but close enough to attractions for day trips and to town. The grounds are well maintained. We haven’t experienced any of the complaints of the 2020 post. We have been here a week and enjoyed the weather, the social activities, and the ambiance. If you enjoy off road trails, a swimming pool, a putting green, walking space and nice people, you will enjoy Echo Basin. Great WiFi as well.

For Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort: We planned to stay for a month and fell in love! We’ve had a blast riding our dirt bikes and UTV right out of the park into the LaPlata mtns. Trails forever! Very peaceful resort and the pool, pickleball, basketball and children’s playground are super! This resort is immaculate and the owners are the bomb. 10 stars!!!

For Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort: One stay was enough, never again! The park itself is pretty; that's where it ends. Small sites jammed one on top of another. We had a small group with RV's and used 2 cabins. RV electrical was always a problem. Breakers tripping while far underutilized. We informed them numerous times and were ignored. WiFi is not reliable and most of the time non-existent. Told them and they did nothing. Mice and rodents in cabins, bat droppings all over and the cabins smelled from feces and skunk. The swimming pool is a joke, ice cold and filthy surrounded by broken furniture. They have a "restaurant" which based on the rest of their park we were afraid to eat at. Our kids would play in the open park area and come back with dog crap all over their shoes. We didn't complain about the electrical, the wi-fi, the rodents, the feces and smells; we asked that they take care of something and the cocky Owner (Tom) had a defensive attitude and worthless excuses about everything and could not have cared less. He made us feel guilty about bringing things up. The entire State is under a fire ban (everything is dry as a bone and no rain in weeks), and yet they allowed campfires and even encouraged it by selling firewood! No place is perfect and we've seen the greatest and the worst but this place along with the Owner's lousy attitude is at the bottom of our list. We'd stay home before ever returning here. This place and particularly the Owner ruined our trip / vacation.

Colofornia Refugees
For Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort: We are here during the so-called pandemic so it is 95% empty. There are 23 cabins and 76 full hookup campsites. They cater to weddings and have the facilities to support them. Owners/ managers are extremely friendly. Campsites are moderately spread out so you’re not looking into your neighbors dining room when you glance out your windows (not as spacious as state parks but better than the majority of commercial operations). Elevation is about 7700 ft and you will be surrounded by Ponderosa Pines and the extra elevation makes summers cooler by 5-10 degrees. We stayed for four nights. We’ll be back for a longer stay. Only negative is the dust from the gravel roads.
