For Carter Lake County - South Shore: For off season views that never disappoint and a location just out of town (Denver metro) Carter Lake is hard to beat. We stayed on an inlet site south shore in February and LOVED it. The space these sites provide is 2nd to none and again, the views of the lake and surrounding foothills are spectacular. We will be back over and over again (I've been coming here since I was a kid).
