For Boyd Lake State Park: We camp here multiple times each year. We especially enjoy spring and fall. Asphalt sites are bit small and curved. Great bike/walking trails in park. Sites offer only electric. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Pretty view of mountains. Nice but busy lake. Major stores like King Soopers, Walmart, Home Depot within 2-3 miles.

For Boyd Lake State Park: Nice park with 60’ level pull throughs spaced reasonably apart. Electric only, but water and dump are available, just fill up before setting up, and dump on your way out. We only stayed one night in mid October while waiting for a Wyoming snowstorm to pass by, but it is a beautiful location. We will remember this place if we need to layover again.

For Boyd Lake State Park: Very quiet park, I think it’s electric only. Our site was very level, very quiet, and just lovely. Very close to Loveland!

Jim Lee
For Boyd Lake State Park: All sites are 60’ pull throughs so easy access and relatively spacious. Electric only, fine for us, and only 60 minutes or so to Rocky Mountain NP. There are closer places, but they looked rather packed in. Nice bike trail and lake nearby, playground and dark at night given in the middle of suburbs. It is $9 per day plus camping fee so $45 per day as of Sep 2019.

Caitie
For Boyd Lake State Park: This park has downright predatory business practices. Sites are $36 per night, plus a $9 park fee PER DAY. All this and you do not get water hookups, there is zero soap in the bathrooms, and the shower cost 75 cents to start, them 25 cents per minute. There is nothing special about this park to cost so much, other than it is a state park. For these prices and no water hookups, we should at least get hand soap and free showers.

Shiny Nomad
For Boyd Lake State Park: This is a fun place to go with a family, and less expensive than most campgrounds in the area. You can rent pretty much any type of water toy, like kayaks, tubes, and paddle boards. They also sell stuff there, including food and water toys. There is a swimming beach, which is rare in Colorado. We also enjoy the great biking trails and places to walk the dog.

NCRocky
For Boyd Lake State Park: This campground is old, the roads are in bad shape and the the campsites are as well. Electric only which is okay for a 5 day or less stay. In addition to the camping fee you will pay a daily park access fee ($8 per day for out of state) and also .75 for a three minute shower, the bathrooms have no soap dispensers. I don't mind paying extra fees for nice facilities and clean amenities but this park has neither. Seems like Colorado has mastered the fee charge but doesn't provide decent and clean facilities in return. I'll pass on Colorado State Parks from now on and stay in private campgrounds
