For Mesa RV Resort: We had reservations to stay here late April we made them in January 2022. Little did we know that the main Highway to the park was having major construction which closed the highway for hours. We had no way of knowing that until the day we tried to get there. We would have had to sit in the Highway for 5 hours and maybe we’d get through. We called to cancel and turned back to Montrose where we were welcomed at the KOA there. Mesa Campground has refused to refund our stay at their park. They had plenty of time to notify us of the road closure. I am extremely disappointed with their lack of communication. They will not refund any part of our charge.
I am extremely disappointed with their lack of communication and customer service. I highly recommend not staying at Mesa Campground.

For Mesa RV Resort: Good location. Nice staff. Lots a tad narrow. Fairly quiet, not much highway noise even though just off 50.
Data. Another story
Camp WiFi. Had to take phone outside to pick it up. 1 meg down, sub 1 meg up. All my comment data sucked at uploading- ALL under 1 meg except one at 1.5. Download adequate to stream, but not enough upload to zoom-call. And I had Mofi4500 and WeBoost
Tested
Cricket
ATT prepaid
Visible
Verizon
T-Mobile 5G hotspot (ran 4G mode)
Would have stayed longer if I had better data upload speeds

For Mesa RV Resort: A great place. I’m tent camping....plush grass, big shade trees, water....showers etc....a great place. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5......a little pricey....$29.00 to tent camp.
But again.....great place and I would highly recommend.

For Mesa RV Resort: Friendly hosts. Good WiFi. RV sites (this is a mixed community - cabins, tiny houses...) are small, gravel and dying grass). No patios. Interior loop sites are back-in and rear bumper to rear bumper tight. Perimeter sites offer privacy at rear, but are primarily long term units (indoor refrigerators outside, tattered awnings...). Little dog turds all over our site. Many written rules, but enforcement obviously lacking. Expensive for the conditions.

For Mesa RV Resort: This campground was very nice. Not many amenities--just laundry and bathrooms/showers. The workers are campworkers and are very nice and helpful. However, because they aren't from the area, getting info on things to do in/around town was tough. The dog run listed on their website has a stream running through it, and the fence isn't very durable. I saw many dogs in there, but I didn't take ours. Also, beware that Gunnison is having MAJOR mosquito issues right now due to big run-offs a few weeks ago. So make sure to take bug spray!

For Mesa RV Resort: Great place and even greater owners: Allan, Francie, Natasha and Jack were very, very helpful and accomodating.
They allowed us to stay in 45ft motorhome 1 week before their season opened advising that they didn't have water until April 15, 2013. I arrived unprepared as I had scheduled staying the night in Salida and fill my fresh water tank. But Salida campground was not prepared for my arrival, the blizzard made it impossible for me to enter their campground so I was forced to proceed directly to Mesa RV. I called Allan and he told me: come over and we make it work. They did, had LPG on site even worked out a system that gave me fresh water during the day.
I will certainly return several times also because Allan is a professional photographer teaching several courses and I want to learn more from him.
Highly recommended.
