For Glenwood Canyon Resort: Reading the negative reviews was surprising. We found the staff to be courteous. We stayed September 12 & 13th, also the 16th on our way back through. We stayed in space 8 and 8 and 5 & 6- ( 2 RV’s). All back in on the River nice to sit outside on the river, spaces are pretty tight, but that is typical for riverfront spaces . there is a restaurant on site- looked like it would be great- it was closed when we were there. Restrooms and laundry facilities were clean. For bicycle Riders- this is right on a great bike trail that goes through the canyon and into Glenwood springs city. We would stay here again.

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: Stayed 7 nights space #315, the good, the bar is closed this time of the year, but, the WIFI is still on and since space 315 is closest to the bar we could get connected from the trailer. space is a little sloped but not unworkable. sewer connection is out of reach. did not use the showers or restrooms. office staff is friendly and helpful

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: We love Glenwood however don’t share that appreciation for this RV resort. It’s in a beautiful location and if you do stay, insist on a back in river front space. Extremely tight but level with electric and Colorado river feet away. However, don’t expect any customer service. Our full hookup space ($91 per day) on the upper area was so sloped my front wheels were 5” off the ground. I asked to move to the other side but was told all spaces were preassigned. Stayed four nights and they had spaces I had requested to be moved to open the whole stay. The sewer connection was unreachable even with two hoses. It was at the very front of a back in space. So dumping required moving to the road in front of the site. No WiFi unless you sat at the bar only while it was open and 0 data with Verizon. Voice phone worked but we didn’t have ANY internet at all. When we checked in we had nowhere to park our rig and tow, so I pulled down past the office but three busses with river rafts on trailers were in the way so I had to move into the RV sites to get out of the main driveway with no other option. My wife checked in and didn’t mention the free zip line promo they had sent me as an incentive to stay. So when I returned the next day with the email they refused to honor because we didn’t show it when we checked in. And they wouldn’t budge! Bathrooms and showers were very dirty. Just don’t think they care. And yes they will still have lots of customers without my business so this review most likely doesn’t matter. With new management and a little work this could be a four star park. But with all the above I’m going to diss them with one star. And never come back.

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: We were told check in was at 2pm but could check in early since we were on the road all day. Once we arrived at 1:30 pm we were told we could not check on until 2 pm. We were told to go find a place to park and come back at 2pm. So we asked about a refund and we would go somewhere else, there are no refunds and we would loose all five days of payment. Next this campground caters to there cabins & rafters and tents, small trailers more than 40' and up. The sites are not very level and the hookups are in the wrong places. Will never stay here again.

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: We called the "pet friendly" resort and were told "no Mastiffs." There was no inquiry made as to the temperament of the dogs, just a flat out "no Mastiffs." As a side note, our Mastiffs are typical for the breed...docile, amazing with kids, zero aggressiveness, and quiet. For a "pet friendly" resort to enforce a clueless ban on a breed (any breed without any context) is a shame. They would have let us in with some other breed, one that could have barked or been possessive or surly or whatever, or we could have brought in kids with any variety of behavioral issues, but absolutely no Mastiffs. We drove from CA to NY, and stayed at many pet friendly resorts...and not ONE had any issue whatsoever with Mastiffs. One too-ranked resort allowed our dogs in their general store, and the park employees often stopped whatever they were doing to come by and actually pet or interact with our dogs. THAT is the type of service that gets RV parks decent ratings and repeat customers. I recommend that anyone who has a dog that even resembles a Mastiff (which, by the way, includes numerous breeds from which Mastiffs were used in breeding...Great Danes, Boerboels, St. Bernard, etc), to drive right by this place and wave. In hindsight I should have simply stayed there and told them my dogs were mixed breeds and that I had no idea what a Mastiff even is...and I wager they would have had no clue. It makes far more sense for parks to prohibit behavior, not breeds. Who out there would rather be next to any breed of barking or mean dogs or noisy or disrespectful kids versus next to dogs or kids with manners???

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: We were told by a gentleman when reserving a space that we could check in early. But when we arrived the lady at the counter was very rude and would not let us check in early even though the campsite was vacant. There was no wifi and the cost was $65 with the Good Sam discount. They also charged a "resort fee" of over $7 (included in the $65). There were no pull thru sites and the sites had gravel. It's off the 70 freeway but was very quiet.

For Glenwood Canyon Resort: This resort takes full payment(non-refundable)!!!so be sure you won't have to cancel!! Our truck blew a head gasket 3 days before we were to leave! Needless to say we are out the full amount for 2 night stay! Very expensive and will never go back!
