Keith

For United Campground of Durango: Nice campground and conveniently located just outside of the city. There is a trolley stop to take you into town if you want. The Durango Silverton Guage Train track runs through the campground. Fun to watch it go by. Nice stay.

cab

For United Campground of Durango: Location is great-trolley stop to downtown at entrance. Sites are not appealing as alternate sites pull in/back in. With a truck camper, we could not have pulled in (as we had to) and separated from our truck (thank goodness for the trolley). Sites are very small (width) and close. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Park was FULL both nights we stayed. Did not use the facilities. Not inexpensive. The lower area with pull throughs (for larger rigs)seemed to have been a bit larger sites. One thing they did that was wonderful-twice a day they watered the roadways (this really helped to keep the dust down) and was greatly appreciated.

Polo realtor

For United Campground of Durango: We came here 8/3/16 in a 25' motor home.
We came for one night, but ready to stay longer if we loved the place. As short stay guests, we often get the worst spots, and this was no exception. Our spot was tight, not very level and front of RV needed to point into the burning sun. (Our motor home has no windows in the back!). In this park, 2 sites share hook-ups in the middle. This means each awning side faces someone else's awning side! This arrangement is an unpleasant first for us!! There are some lovely views here, but no trails and no way for some of us to enjoy them. Neither cable nor antenna tv channels work. We do not go camping to be in a small pool with lots of people; we do expect a decent site, the usual attempt at privacy, and at least one trail for walking... Clean laundry and washrooms are not enough.

SillySalGal

For United Campground of Durango: New section opened up, our 40' motor home fit and we had room to park our jeep.

Strong wifi, good laundry, and nice employees. Pool is small but heated. Trolley stop to town and close to Mesa Verde or four corners for a day trip.

The narrow gauge train goes through the campground.

Itgeekgal

For United Campground of Durango: Reserved a big rug friendly 65 ft pull through space, the space was only 45 ft long so had to unhook. Space was also too tight to pull through, had to back out, and too narrow to extend all 4 slides. This park is NOT big rig friendly!
