For Woods and River RV Park: Pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The road to the park is a dirt road by the railroad tracks (not used) but after entering the park, meeting Linda, who escorted us to our site, making sure we were happy, wee glad we did not let the road to the park turn us away. We have a front row seat on the Rio Grande River , roomy and level site, fire ring and picnic table! I give this park five stars, we used passport America discount, got water and electric and a front row seat to the Rio Grande River.....fishing, swimming.

For Woods and River RV Park: We were pleasantly surprised with this park. As we drove in on a dirt unkept road paralleling train tracks we are worried. This park is right on the river, that you can fish and swim in. We used our Passport America discount and paid $24.00 full hookups,! It is quiet, mature trees, picnic tables, enough room for slides and awnings. Very friendly staff. There are places that are a tight fit, just ask for another one.. they are very accommodating. They have gazebos for anyone’s use along the river, and a larger one for larger groups, maybe a family reunion. We would stay again if in the area. I gave them 3stars rating because the grounds are in need of manicuring. WiFi doesn’t work by the river, must be by the office. Verizon cell service works great.

For Woods and River RV Park: Not sure this was the same campground these other folks stayed at! We agree that the office staff was friendly, but as for the park itself, I'd keep on driving.
The sites are extremely tight, with rigs parked every which way, so that our doorside slide was only a couple of feet from our neighbor's. The sites went from back to back to front to front, and they are very, very narrow. There is a large dry camping area near the river, but they charge $22/nt for that, when we got the Passport America discount of $16. for full hookups. Still can't figure out as a PAm member who'd want to pay $6. more for no services?
We camped in a 27' motorhome with slides.
We would not recommend this place simply for the small, irregular sites.

For Woods and River RV Park: Nicest campground in the area. Very nice campground manager- super friendly! He even offered us fruits and vegetables that grow in garden patches around the campground. The area along the river was beautiful. We stayed here for two nights and I would have been happy to stay longer. You can't beat the Passport America rate of $15.00 per night for a full hookup site.
