For Lake Solano Park: We were looking for a place to stay in the general area to break up a long drive. We're self-contained in our 25 foot MH and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in mid-October. The CG was not busy at this time. This is a nice, clean CG about a 15-minute drive from I-505. There are about 60 sites with a mix of hookups or primitive (no hookups). Most are in the trees for shade and some privacy. Most have paved parking pads, most are level. Those nearest Putah Creek are of various sizes and shapes, some have views of the creek. Those above the creek are are long, narrow mostly back-in sites. There are flush toilets and showers which we did not use. There's very little cell coverage available in the park, although there was a weak yet usable ATT and Verizon signal in the sites nearest the Nature Center. The peacocks were fun to watch.

For Lake Solano Park: Not a bad place, shade trees make it feel comfortable, but in early June, the temperature is 103! We got the last electric spot in the “RV areaâ€. Next to us is a guy who keeps yelling at a child, until another younger guy comes in his car with Saran Wrap for a window, and plunks the unfortunate child in her car seat, while he gathers up all of the child’s stuff and throws it in the car, tearing out the Saran Wrap window, yelling and cussing the whole time. Next to him is a guy who just got off work, and nothing wrong with that, but it seems that, in the off season, before June 16, this is a place where people stay, who have nowhere else to go. Would not stay here again.

For Lake Solano Park: Nice place. Nothing was strange or concerning about any of the facilities, grounds, or staff. Some things were outdated and some things could have been used a little attention. The peacocks were fun for the kids and added an element of humor to our site. Their squawking wasn’t annoying to us. Definitely bring your kayak or water toys. Good fishing too.

For Lake Solano Park: Very nice campground along Putah Creek, with a nature center and wooded sites. It was $34 for site with electric and water, and $20 for seniors. A quiet setting along a scenic creek, with fish and bird life. Lake Berryassa is nearby for boating. The added benefit is being 15 minutes away from Winters, a town with all the supplies you might need and several great eateries such as the Putah Creek cafe, Steady Eddy's cafe and the Buckthorn Steakhouse. We spent 3 nights there right after Christmas, so the park was almost empty. Camp hosts and self pay stations take care of late arrivals, and the local peacock flock will give you added photo opts. The Verizon signal was too weak for calls but did allow texts to get thru. My Mifi managed to provide us a good data speed, but that was hooked up to a cellular antenna elevated to 15 feet. Next trip we'll have a cell booster.

For Lake Solano Park: We stayed here for four nights. It was peacock mating season so the male peacocks were very happy to show off their plumage. We found their antics to be very amusing. On several occasions we watched the males use the chrome on our truck bumper as a mirror then become very confused when they saw their reflection. Some people might find the various noises the especially the honking of the peacock annoying we found it amusing. At night when they roosted it seemed like it was a contest between the peacocks to see which bird could have the last honk.
