For Acorn East: Site 85 in truck camper from Feb.6-9, 2020. On a hill side with nice view of lake. Closer to shore than some which increased motor boat noise. Low hills surround and across the bay from this site surprising noisey road. Periodically seems to be on a a flight path. Never saw any staff. Sites next door roomly on one side tight on other. Site right on loop so you hear every car that goes by. Barely room for truck camper and definitely not level. Down hill to table and fire ring. Below average for A.C. park . Would not be pleasant when filled due to poor planning. Good Verizon reception and easy to get dish. Garbage and recycling barrels right across from site, never checked bath facility. Would not want to stay here again especially during summer.

For Acorn East: Beautiful campground in the springtime. Lots of lush grasses and oak trees. Some nice roomy sites. There are level sites but a lot are on hills and would be hard to level your trailer. There are great dog friendly hiking paths. Several bathrooms and dump stations. The price is good with the Federal Interagency Pass we paid $10.00 a night for dry camping. We were disappointed with the dirty bathrooms and overflowing dumpsters. I called and asked about the garbage pickup and was told they were working on it but when we left two days later it was still was stinky and overflowing. Weekends the party crowds moved in and were rudely loud and disturbing. All that said I still gave it 4 Stars because of the gorgeous, shady sites and lake views.
