For Butte Valley Fair RV Park: Wow, others liked this place. Maybe we’re spoiled by pristine free BLM sites, but lots of dog poop, seriously unlevel spots AND $36 for full hookups (which we don’t need but it was not specified where to park for the$20 dry spots) does not say “hidden gem†to me.

For Butte Valley Fair RV Park: Access: Good. Gravel interior roads.
Sites: Back-ins. Level grass. Spacing good. One shade tree. The designated campground area is water and electric only.
Staff: Office staff very helpful.
Grounds: Well kept, clean. Easy dump station access.
Electrical: 30/50 amp. No issues
Noise Level: Low. No train noise.
Cell Service AT&T: 3 bars.
Wifi: None
Price: $18 per night - self check-in.
Notes: We travel in a 40' Motorhome. Not all services used.
Opinion: This is one of our favorite fairground RV parks. Every site has lots of grass with a huge grassy area to exercise the dog. Pleasant views of the surrounding farmland. This is one of those fairgrounds we call a "find." Rural area, lightly used, quiet with ample area to walk at a reasonable price.

For Butte Valley Fair RV Park: What a great place for a quick pit stop. We stayed here as our halfway point when on our way to Tahoe. It’s tucked away behind the fairgrounds, but signs are easy to follow (if you’re paying attention and not tired from a long day of travel ;) as we missed them on our first pass). Pay is cash only on the honor system and they were charging $36 for a full hook-up spot. I forget how much hey we’re charging for water/electric only, but we only had $40 cash and there was no change. Spots were all grass and fairly level. We didn’t even have to unhook from our rig for the night. This was a pleasant surprise and a spot we will hit on our way back in a week. However, the only down side is that he town of Tulelake, CA is extremely tiny and there isn’t a lot to do. It’s saving grace is that this town is just a short drive away from Klamath Falls which has a lot more things to do if you’re staying more than a night. There was only one other trailer when we arrived and we both left the next morning. This is a great pit stop.

For Butte Valley Fair RV Park: Their RV section is along the side of the Fairgrounds and across the Irrigation ditch is Farming fields. You park on grass ,which really needed to be cut as it was pretty tall. They have nice bathrooms/showers close by and are free and hot ! Very quiet all night. At daylight the bird hunters were firing Shotguns off in the distance but that didn't bother us as it was pretty muffled. I'd stay here when passing through as it's a bargain for $15 with PA

For Butte Valley Fair RV Park: This was a hidden gem. BEAUTIFUL fairgrounds with acres of lush green lawns. There is just a 'honor system' pay booth when you drive in to the fairgrounds. There are signs to show you the RV entrance, which is at the back of the park. Beautiful mountain views. We stayed in a large, 5th wheel, on June 4, 2016. We paid $18.00 for full hook-ups. An incredible value.
