Rambling Raider

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: We were evacuated from our town (Windsor) due to the Kincaid fire. I called the RV park told her there were 5 of us coming from Wine Country RV. and she said they had room. When we got there she (Stephanie) told us our trailers were to old and we could not stay. We told her we have no where to go. She said that was the rule. We are in parking lots not knowing where to go or what to do. This park does not deserve a rating.

Shelly

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: Worst park ever! Bathroom was filthy! Trees overgrown, WiFi doesn’t work! Sites were dirty with trash all over the place. A bunch of workers staying here and making it home. I told the host (Steph) about it and she said (I quote) “They’ve paid for months, your only here for a couple days.” That tells me they don’t care about short term travelers. She was very rude! Office was to be open from 10:00am-6:00pm I went there twice and both times no one was in office. They spend more time away than in the office. Do yourself a favor, spend xtra money and go to KOA in Petaluma, that’s what we did.

Tom Thumb

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: We called and made a reservation. When we got there the space was to small to fit our 45’ fifth wheel. There was a few spaces in the front row but the young lady (think her name was Stephanie) told me that’s all there was and could not accommodate us. We were going to stay for one night. Host was very rude and seemed it was a burden for her to switch people around so we could stay for the night. We had already paid and now the refund is going to take at least three days to get back to us.. DO NOT STAY HERE! Host is rude and place is not accommodating!!

Streamer

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: We stayed here last April and the place was very good - clean and tidy, well kept and efficient. When we stayed last night it was a surprise how unkempt it was - the men’s toilet had no toilet paper in it! This place needs some help - it could be good given its location but it has gone downhill. We will not be back.

gravel grinder

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: 9/28/2018, 67 FEMA trailers left. Gravel parking lot. WIFI is not that useable, as what they have now was generously donated by DISH network and shared among everyone. Great hosts. The best thing about this is being in civilization again and access to Costco. The worst part is paying for a gravel lot - full hookup, but gravel lot. They do have security at night, which I consider a strong positive. Access to local wineries is probably why you are stopping here - good move.

marcia

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: Everything has changed here since the fires last fall. The camp sites have all been divided in half so as to double the occupancy. FEMA has brought in dozens and dozens of trailers to house people displaced by the fires. The camp seems to be tidy and well run in spite of this. And it was extremely quiet at night. Because it is so crowded and the sites are so small it is very difficult to situate an RV. It took at least a half hour of backing maneuvers to get our 23 foot trailer in place. There aren't a lot of options around here but I would certainly look elsewhere next time.

Teardrop from TX

For Sonoma County Fairgrounds RV Park: Simple, large gravel parking lot with a few trees. Easy pull-through sites but very close together.

Great location in Santa Rosa, close to downtown.

No Internet but the park was clean and the restroom and showers we're well maintained. On-site park host was friendly and helpful too.
