For Navajo Campground: Very remote - dry camp with one newer (nicer) concrete pit toilet. No water - only seasonal creeks in area. Access via Red Hill Rd. is VERY rough for a car would only take an RV in this way if it were with a 4x4 truck that could go slow over all the ruts and bumps. I have towed my 23RS Outback in on this road but its a high clearance toy hauler trailer - but it is 28' in length. Easier access is in via E. Pozo Rd but that adds 15+ miles longer way around to get in and still has some bumps n ruts but way fewer. Much better access for a car n tents that way though. Sparse oak n pine trees, no real shade except on one site - poorly defined sites, no grass just dirt. This is a popular spot for OHV as dirt bike trails are plenty-full around this spot so expect dirt bikes on weekends for sure. Summer can get very HOT with deer flies a plenty. Good for hiking, OHV use, and getting far away from it all. Newly refurbished camp sites with tables n grills. Sadly NFS spent $70K refurbishing the camp area - but did nothing with the road to get to it!
