For La Panza Campground: Very Rural Camping! Campsites are well defined, fire rings n Grill's. But campsites are smaller not good for Trailers or large RV's - parking in sites just big enough for a truck+ (small class C RV might fit). Camp ground is in a canyon, with quite a few oak trees, seasonal creek runs in winter - run off. 2 or 3 - double stall pit toilet buildings are placed along the single road in to campsites - built probably in 50's- 60's but usable. No water, very hot in summer, with plenty of deer flies. Hiking trails, and dirt bike trails in area. Good for a very quite get away with little but nature "to do". This campground is nearly always EMPTY! Fox, coyotes, road runners, deer, wild pigs, jack rabbits, quail very rare black bear, snakes all visit this area, (rattlers too). Access via E. Pozo Rd. off Hwy 58 (paved - sometimes near single lane rd. goes to dirt but well maintained by SLO County).
