For Sandy Beach County Park: Yes, Sandy Beach county park is a gem. But when all sites are occupied on the weekend, the narrow road can be challenging for large rigs. The sites are pull-out style parallel to the road. To protect the sprinkler system, the no parking on grass rule is strictly enforced. Everyone parked with doors facing the grass, so staying off the grass can put slide outs on the edge of the road. I couldn’t stay off the grass and keep my slides out of the road. I parked about a foot on the grass and talked to the ranger about the situation. He took a look and waived the rule as the tires weren’t threatening the sprinklers. I decided to depart Friday morning to avoid the weekend traffic. Other fifth wheels arrived Thursday and planned to stay put until Monday when they could depart easily. I didn’t see any big Class As. I didn't use the bathrooms. Dogs are not allowed in the day use area or boat ramp. Dogs must be on leash in the campground. The riverside location is lovely, the park is quiet, and the senior rate is $20 + $2 for the dog, so I’ll be back.

For Sandy Beach County Park: Spacious campsites, nice beach area for lounging, fishing and wading. We had a peaceful time here Monday-Friday, probably gets busy here on weekends!

For Sandy Beach County Park: Seemed like we were headed to the middle of nowhere, but a great campsite was waiting, plus a super nice host who even had firewood for sale. Lots of grassy areas, lots of trees, and open spaces. We're 25' trailer + tongue + long bed truck and we filled up our whole spot without unhooking.
Cool camping on California's Delta ??

For Sandy Beach County Park: Sites were pretty big. Price very reasonable. Great beach. Did not like that the picnic tables were pretty far from our RV. However some sites had the tables a lot closer. Worst part, and this is no fault of the site, was the wind! It was dreadfully windy! We live in Cordelia so yes we are used to the wind but camping in it is no fun!
