For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: Horrible. Space are parking slots. Save your money and park at Walmart k

For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: The good: This is a functional park: full hookups and they offer free amp converters if you need them. The bathroom facilities are lovely and well kept with 3 shower stalls, 1 handicapped potty, and 5 regular potties. The staff is friendly and willing to help you extend if you need in person or online. Better WiFi than most spots and on site laundry that is less than most laundromats. Pretty safe area. The Meh: The staff doesn't always have time to check their online reservations so if you don't visit the office in person for extensions there will be knocking on your door around 2-3pm just to check. It's extremely hot here even when the rest of the bay is in the 70s. The bad: there is no park or entertainment for the younger or immobile crowd if you don't have a car. Nothing besides the fairgrounds is within walking distance (less than 2 miles). The closest gas is significantly higher than anything else in the bay. One washer and one dryer in the Landry room are perpetually broken. The spaces are narrow, meaning if you have a longer rig, your tow vehicle WILL be in the driveway area, which can get you in trouble (or hit) if someone complains (or can't drive).

Virginia

For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: $65/night for no amenities whatsoever. I’m a full-time RV dweller and never have I paid so much for so little. It’s 1 mile from a fab shopping district and the staff is friendly. Expect to drag a whole lot of dried grass and dirt into your RV. Lot was level. Electric and water pressure were good. They charge this outrageous price because there is no other place to park. Train noise is minimal. We felt safe but because of proximity to town we left nothing outside the RV.

For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: Don't even bother trying to stay here unless you have a fancy rig. We have an older model RV, 1989. It is fully functional and our home on wheels. They flat out turned us away. Can't park there if your rig isn't 2006 or newer. So basically unless you have the kind of money to afford a nice hotel and thus a newer RV, they won't allow you to park there for $40-$50 per night. Apparently Treasure island has the same policy. Not cool. We have been forced to stay at Walmarts in the area.

Debbi

For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: This is a 'must be in the area' park. Don't come if you are looking for a relaxing get away experience. We have stayed several times over the past 4 years and feel that the RV parking (sorry can't call it a park) has gone downhill. Prices are very high, spaces are very small. Weeds now get mowed occasionally in a as vacant basis I guess. Many sights had weeds nearly 2 ft high. No view, lots of people, but if you need big rig accommodations there really is no other game in town. Wish they would at least do some improvements and tidy this place up tho. Also the alameda county fair is mid June. The RV lot closes for 4-5 weeks during that time so plan accordingly. Lastly make sure you really want to be here when you reserve. No refunds!! I believe they will give you a credit towards a future stay though.

For Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Camping: We got here Sunday and we have had to move once since got here . This is Tuesday and will have to move one more time before we leave one Monday . Every morning it is musical chaires in this park. We are not the only one that moveD. One guys was told to move but when he moved his rig the guywas still there. We have heard many complaints . Problem being they are the only park in the area.
