For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Small campground with six drive thru sites on concrete pads. Water/electric sites, 30Amp. Dump station by water treatment facility about half mile away. Nice paved walking/biking trails. Lots of deer, geese, and turkeys . Nice exchange store open 7 days a week. Can take showers at nearby gym and laundry at troop barracks. Air Force museum at Travis AFB is worth the drive snd so is Armstrong Redwood Reserve. Verizon cell service sting enough to steam videos. So was local Wifi.

For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Very nice, basic park. Away from main base near small lake. Plenty of wildlife, deer, fowl and other creatures. Small BX but has the necessities. Not far from the coast and other points of interest. Will be back and would recommend

For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Pretty cool, very small RV park. No sewer hook up but there’s a dump station down, around the way. 6 very large spots. Bathrooms nearby, no showers. No laundry at all. They really need to mow or weed eat around the spots. Views are pretty great. Very quiet. It’s pretty much a wild life sanctuary on base, we loved it. Small px & gas nearby. Cell service was ok. WiFi was just ok. We would def stop through again.

For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Six sites on the court, spread out well, each site has lots of room. There’s a volleyball court, playground, horseshoes and large pond on site. Lots of fields around, we seen many deer. Blackberry bushes also. The shopette, bowling alley, coffee shop, diner, movie theater and pool are a mile walk away. No sewer hookups. $25 a night. A safe, parklike setting. We will stay here again.

For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Had a great stay here. Plenty of room and quiet. The exchange is small. Movie theater has a great selection of movies and in expensive. Access to pool, gym, and dining facility, by the way the food was excellent and this is the facility that trains the Coast Guard's cook (CS). Close to wine country with too many to mention, but Korbels gives a great military discount. Definitely would stay here again.
Only down side no sewer hook up, but the dump facility is on base and only a short drive away. We lost water a couple of times the last few days in the morning. It was cold those mornings not sure that had anything too do with it or not.

For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Our second visit. Located in the hills west of Petaluma, this is a nice, quiet and very small RV park. There are just six sites located on a circular road near the Southeast corner of the installation, not far from the family housing area. Nice views. Each site is a very large concrete pad. Water and 30 amp electric are provided. A small bathroom with sink is a short walk away, next to a teen center/boys-girl club building. Showers are in the nicely equipped gym, about a mile away in the built up area of the base. You'll find running and biking paths all around the installation. It's a nice walk or bike from the RV park to the gym or the well-stocked Coast Guard Exchange. Don't miss taking a meal at the Galley (open to retirees), you're at the Coast Guards culinary training facility. Check in is at the MWR office located in the library, next to the theatre and gym. But the guard at the main gate may have your reservation paperwork. Two hints: (1) Enter through the main gate on Tomales Road. Don't let you GPS take you to the closed back gate, like ours did. (2) Be prepared for some strong agricultural odors. The installation is surrounded by farms and livestock, and there are fields on base growing what appears to be hay, irrigated with reclaimed water.

RPM
For Petaluma Lake Area Camps: Nice camp, love the layout to where everyone looks at scenery and not at another camper. Will easily accept any size rig. Drawbacks: only 6 sites making reservations hard to get, goose poop everywhere, a bit of a drive to town. Pluses: Very quiet, well maintained, dining facility open to everyone and has excellent meals.
We stayed here in a motorhome before school let out for the summer. We recommend this FamCamp.
