For Guajome County Park: Clean park with clean facilities. The downsides: Road noise during rush hour and from about 8PM - 10PM (cars racing between signal lights). From I-5 to the park, due to poorly timed signal lights, takes 30-40 minutes at 2PM. And there is the fire station answering calls that awakens the dead when they are called upon. The site are small and tights. The lake is a mosquito breeding ground (the County does treat it with the larvae eating bacterium to control the mosquitos. Walking trails are mostly dusty dirt roads. Our 1 visit of 4 nights was 4 nights too long.

For Guajome County Park: Clean, mostly quiet, friendly & helpful staff, great security (hourly rounds!). Next to nice park and small lake. 5 bars on AT&T and Verizon. Will definitely come back. We stayed in space 5. Agree with other review about the soil: Sticky (and slippery!!) when wet.

Michael
For Guajome County Park: Very friendly Rangers. Close to Oceanside snd s bunch of good restaurants and supermarkets in between.
Nice walks, not at all challenging.
Well laid out spots with full hookups.
The only no s due is! If it rains, keep off the trails. There’s a good reason the local mission is made of adobe. The soil is the stickiest clay ever.

For Guajome County Park: Nice park and pretty well maintained. Nice surrounding area and near a WalMart and Home Depot for “stuff†you may need. Quiet and well managed. Staff and rangers are very friendly and helpful.
For a full hookup in this area the price is EXCELLENT. Even though they nickel and dime you ($33 daily rate plus $ per car and a $5 reservation fee), it’s still the best value in the area by FAR.
Water pressure is fantastic and fire pits are available at each site.
