JW

For Lake Minden RV Resort: It's a nice park, easy to get to, and fairly well maintained. The road leading in is marginal in spots, but the gravel road in the campground is pretty good. The A section, which has sewer, is designed for smaller rigs and is quite tight. The D section, which is electric/water only, boasts much larger and wider sites. There is a dump right in the middle of D section near the bath house. We stayed in site D28. Cell data has been overall decent, but at times was marginal. Streaming had few problems, so the download speeds seem to be fine with plenty of capacity; with only a couple of issues with downloading files while we were here. The upload speeds seem to vary greatly. Speedtest.net says Verizon is 34mb down and 18mb up at 5:48am on a Monday. For some reason there is no airport or train track nearby and traffic noise is nonexistent as highway 99 is about a mile through the woods/orchards. When night comes, it gets dark as there are not a lot of artificial lighting in D section. The people here seem very friendly and the workers were very nice and professional. They do ask to see your registration and proof of insurance, so there must be a story behind that as this is the first campground that I've run into asking for that. The smallish lake is stocked with catfish and bass and there are boat rentals. The park is gated and has someone at the guard house after the office closes for late check ins. Sacramento is an easy drive away and San Francisco is an easy day trip. There is a gas station with diesel nearby on Hwy 99. The camp store is small but has a good variety of items.

Tia Maria

For Lake Minden RV Resort: Easy check in. No hassles over registration and/or insurance. No mosquitos. Stayed in site #45 in A section. Real quiet even though it’s off the main road.

For Lake Minden RV Resort: We just needed one night. Was able to book online same day with no problem. When we arrived, the check in process was very easy. Park was clean. We were told to choose any open site we wanted in section A or D. Section A has full hook up including sewer, but the sites are pretty close together. Section has full hook up except no sewer. They have a very clean bath room with showers, and a central dump station. The spaces are more private in section D. Since we were just staying for 1 night, we chose section D, near the bathroom. It is gated, I felt very safe. Bathrooms were very clean. We didn’t do any activities there, since we were just passing through, but they had an activity calendar that looked like good family fun. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is the cost was a bit high for what we used, and No wifi.

Jim

For Lake Minden RV Resort: This is an old park they put us where there was no sewer hook up and most sights had some flooding we woke up in the morning with 2 inches of water at our doorstep.

We have traveled now for three weeks and this park was the most expensive and offered less amenities

Would not go back

For Lake Minden RV Resort: We would not stay here again - EVER. Very old, worn out park. Mosquito infested.

StormRunner

For Lake Minden RV Resort: This is a pretty lake location. It is nestled in a quiet area. The camp ground surrounds the private lake, which I am guessing is actually an irrigation pond.
There are rv and dry camping tent sites here.
There are two rv areas. The one at the back side of the lake is nice, and was completely full when I got here at 6 pm on a Friday.
The front area has tiny RV spaces. The parking conditions reminded me of an RV storage area. A number of campers have expanded into 2 spaces.
I actually pulled into a space backwards (front in) so that I wouldn't be so close I could reach out and touch my neighbor from my main door.
I have a 24 foot conversion Van with no slides. I can pull in just about anywhere. While I was on a walk past the office I saw a guy with a big motorhome who had driven the park unable to find a space he could fit in.
i am here for one Friday night as an overnight stop on a long trip. I would not recommend this park, at least not on a busy weekend, unless one gets here mid week to secure a nice spot.
I camped here on a Thousand Trails membership.
