For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: I'm surprised by all the good reviews of this park honestly. First of all, contrary to what the info page says, there is no 50amp power, only 30. The roads in and out are too narrow, especially for back in spots only. Also no where to park your vehicle after you've unhitched. Do they not realize the size truck you need to haul these things? Also, right smack in the middle of the golf course, not near it, IN it. We had to drive through a tee box to get to our site, I don't love that when we checked in we were warned 6different ways to watch for stray golf balls.... especially with young children. Not worth saving money, I'd rather spend more and be comfortable. Won't be staying here again

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Nice campsite, good clean facilities. We stayed for 6 nights visiting our son and his family. 30 Amp service only, but the weather was cool enough that we didnt need A/C. The park is next to the county airport, so there is some plane noise, but not really a bother. We would stay here again.

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Nice location, nice facility. Wifi is free and works well. Streamed on our Amazon firestick with no problems. Staff is great. Close in to the fairgrounds, hence, the fair and the Monterey Jazz festival. Bathroom/shower/laundry house is centrally located. Gate is locked at night and operated with a provided code. Groceries and restaurants are just slightly too far to walk but almost too close to drive! Expect this facility to be closed for renovation soon as the plans are approved just waiting on money. Plans call for all specs to be 45' concrete pads.

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Great location, pleasant campground. I pulled in with no reservation for an overnight stay. Check-in at golf course pro shop went smoothly. Showers and laundry room very clean. Surrounded by golf course, and airport close. Aircraft taking off and landing, but I love the sound of planes. I look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Gbfanken

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: The facility is clean, the Hosts are friendly, very close to Monterey Bay fun! The BX is close enough but is not great. The Commissary is average.

The gulf course is close, infact it surrounds the RV camp ground. The facility Manager Should warn people that stay there that they will be probably BE hit by a golf ball or their RV might get hit. OUR MH HAD BEEN HIT SEVERAL TIMES, HOWEVER WE ENDED UP WITH 1 DENT IN OUR NEW MH.

Golfing there is inexpensive, however Is it worth your RV or MH getting dents?

We camped in a 2015 Itasca Navion for 14 days. We would not go back because of the damage a golf ball can cause. Ken from WI.

Larry

For Monterey Pines RV Park - Military: Camped here for a month starting in mid March. What a great deal at a great location. Limited to 30 amps service but learned how to work around it. From here we spent days traveling to points south like Hearst Castle and Pt Lobos, points north like the Winchester House. There is a decent commissary and PX within 6 miles. Site is on the golf course where 18 holes are only $15. Would definitely stay here again. Camped in 38' coach.
