For KOA Journey Manchester Beach: Best KOA setting ever. It might be a circus in season, but midweek in November it’s just idyllic.
Marvelously shaded by mature trees, within earshot, and stroll of pounding surf.
We’ll maintained and a delightful staff.

For KOA Journey Manchester Beach: Just returned to the SF Bay Area after staying a few days. The resort is nice ... clean restrooms, small pool with hot tub, game room, play areas for the kids and dog friendly. I also enjoyed the cook station which made it easier to prepare larger meals for family & friends.
It’s located about a mile from the beach ... which was amazing!!! We spent all day there ... waves were too big to enter, but kids had fun going ankle deep and splashing around.
Now to the “beware†part ... I would not recommend the route that most gps systems will take you. Avoid Mountain View Rd. especially if you are towing a trailer! We towed a 24ft travel trailer through an extremely windy and sometime single road (shared with oncoming traffic) up a mountain with sharp turns and drop off cliffs not far away. It was horrible! We made it ... but also learned a valuable lesson ... shorter distances are NOT worth it unless they are tow “friendly.†Leaving we took Hwy 1 N to 128 to 101. Much better!

For KOA Journey Manchester Beach: Our first KOA, out of need really upon finding the adjacent Manchester SP had already closed for the season in mid-late September when we showed up. So we learned what most will know, a well-kept KOA like this one is not a bad deal especially if you are at that point on a trip when a laundry would be welcome, a pool and hot tub even more so, and as a bonus you find yourself chatting with some interesting folk from other countries around the roaring big campfire following the ice cream social. Glad we have now tested the KOA waters.

For KOA Journey Manchester Beach: Beautiful spot with huge trees and good facilities. The sights are large but sites are grass, gravel and mud when wet. Campground is adjacent to Manchester beach which is awesome. We saw whales and seals from the beach. WIFI was ok, cable has about 10 digital channels. Only knock is the roads in the park are very poor with big potholes. Shopping available in nearby Manchester.

For KOA Journey Manchester Beach: For a KOA, this is one of the tops! Lots to do here, very clean, in an old forest, so the trees are tall enough to provide beauty and some shade, without feeling oppressive. The campground hostess, Susie, is very friendly and helpful. The laundry and bathrooms are well stocked and clean, and the ones in the back, are private, with good hot showers! There's a path to the beach, volleyball net, basketball hoops, pool table, air hockey, God selection of DVDs to rent. We've stayed here twice, so far, and look forward to staying again!
