For Silver Lake Campground: We stayed at Silver Lake campground overnight on a trip South along 395. Nice campground. We were there in Early October, beautiful color throughout the whole June Lake Loop. Our site was near Rush Creek, with gorgeous views. Campground had shown as heavily booked, but there were less than a dozen rigs present, possibly due to cold temps (high was 30F, low 10F). We dry camped, not sure if there are any hookups. Very nice, flat paved sites, though ours was a bit narrow for our rigid steps and had a 10†drop off the pavement to the dirt, so we had to be careful at night. Lots of hikes around the loop, we recommend the Fern Lake trail hike (around 1.5 miles, somewhat steep in parts at 7600’ altitude). Could see the place getting pretty crowded during peak season, but we will be back.

For Silver Lake Campground: Great location. Views of surrounding mountains is incredible. We have deer in the campsite every evening and morning. Rush Creek waterfall is only 1.8 mile hike each way from sites. A must see! We I only gave is 4/5 stars because of no dump station.
