For Idyllwild RV Resort: This is a Thousand Trails park at 6700 foot elevation, Staff was very good however the park had fallen into somewhat disrepair with some sections washed out and closed. Plenty of trees although a large percentage of sites were not level, water bad - ran brown for some time and never did clear up - bring bottled water for cooking and drinking. Bathrooms clean but worn and all the showers were out of service at the location we were in. No internet or sewer. Severe and very steep grades and I suggest you disconnect your tow before leaving the main road as you may have trouble getting up some of the steep inclines otherwise. All to roads we used were paved. LOTS of hiking but if you're not in shape just walking around may be difficult. The nearby town of Idyllwild is a lovely town that has about anything you might need with plenty to do, places to eat and shop and even a theater making it worth the trip.. $67 per night in 2025.

For Idyllwild RV Resort: The Only reason I gave any stars is the staff did assist us. If you’re looking for level sites, this is absolutely not.the place for you. furthermore, there seems to be little or no effort being made by Thousand Trails to level the sites at all. the sites available for large motor homes are few as many of those sites were taken by small campers with no regulation by staff. Definitely a huge downside of first come policy. on the positive side. … The pool was nice.

For Idyllwild RV Resort: Beautiful park setting. Hiking, views are awesome. The downside, the park doesn’t take into account rig size on your reservation. When we showed up, after an hour long pull up the mountain, we were told we might not fit anywhere. The staff wasn't willing to help us find a spot, basically telling us which spots were open and to try them out. Lovely place, but just be aware that customer service may not be what you're used to.

For Idyllwild RV Resort: We came here off season in March just before Easter, and we love this campground. As another person says, it's tough to find a spot at first. They also do have several full hookup sites with sewer and are adding more, but they fill up fast. Best to reserve one ahead if you can. Internet had reliable AT&T LTE, reliable fast Verizon LTE and extended Sprint that was a bit spotty at times. Verizon was excellent, but might get slow during peak. People and staff were nice, very pet friendly, and overall a great place to stay.

For Idyllwild RV Resort: Overall we really liked this campground. It is very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The only problem we had was locating a vacant site when we first got to the campground. They let you pick your own site, which is good in theory, but when you come here for the first time on the Friday night of a 3 day weekend, it's pretty difficult to navigate through the park. It may not be a problem for most people, but I talked to a couple others with the same issue.
