For Beals Point - Folsom Lake State Rec Area: Altough otherwise stated in the allstays app they do have several full hook up sites.
Camping is nice, green and clean. Perfect for kids with the Lake and little beach nearby.

For Beals Point - Folsom Lake State Rec Area: We stayed here in late March for 1 night to try out our new RV close to home. The side with RV hookups was around 1/2 full so it was very quiet. We reserved space #55, a really well situated pull through site. This site gets a small amount of road noise outside but inside could not hear anything. The AC,water, and dump hookups were all in good order. The surroundings were nicely mowed down and manicured (hopefully they do that further into rattlesnake season as well). You can walk tens of miles either direction on various roads and paths surrounding the lake. During summer months there are lifeguards at this swimming area if you have small kids to be concerned with. This is a nice place to stay.

For Beals Point - Folsom Lake State Rec Area: We were looking for a place to stay in the general area to visit family in Orangevale. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a Friday night in early September in our 25 foot MH.
This is a nice urban CG right on Folsom Lake and very convenient to Orangevale and Folsom. The CG has 2 loops. One is set up for RVs and has water and electric. The sites appear to be spread out and relatively open. The other Loop is primitive and geared towards tents, although smaller RVs are ok for some sites. We stayed in the latter. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday and got the last site with a pad that fit our RV. The sites in the primitive section were pleasantly arrayed in clusters among trees, had a mix of sun and shade and most were good sized. The sites on the outside were slightly larger and more private. Most need a bit of leveling. There's no wifi. There was good ATT and Verizon coverage. We had a quiet stay.
There's a network of bike trails near the CG that connect into city bike paths. There is swimming and boating in the lake. The historic Folsom Village is 4 miles away.

For Beals Point - Folsom Lake State Rec Area: Campsite was ok. I had a tent site. Longer walk from the parking spot to the tent site than I would have liked. Nice and shady, great bike trail. Not nearly enough bathrooms and very distant from sites. No firewood collection. Campground filled up pretty early in the day during the week.
