For Kenney Grove Park Ventura County: Stayed here for an overnight in Feb. 2024. It was mostly empty, we were a walk up, we chose a site and then paid online (required), including a "reservation" fee. Site was nice, next to a stream and bridge to showers. It had 5 (all gender) large shower rooms, but only one (all gender) restroom. There was probably another restroom building somewhere. Showers took quarters. The site was dirt, but hard packed and good even though it was raining. Sites were kind of close to each other, but in a nice grove of trees. We were in a E/W site, but there were some no-services sites further from the restroom. We would stay again for an overnight.

For Kenney Grove Park Ventura County: I haven’t left yet but I wanted to write the review while I have time. The campground is so nice and well maintained. I love the landscaping! Great Job Kenney Grove! Haven’t used the restrooms or showers. Please note that they do not have a dump here which is a pretty big deal to us. They do have a dump in fillmore and they charge $15.00 which is way too much in my humble opinion. This afternoon when we went to use the dump it was covered by water since it’s been raining for days. They had payment envelopes exposed and dripping wet and they only take checks which we don’t have…Lastly, the cost for the site is reasonable for California but high compared to other states and we’ve been to many different states. Again, the grounds are really nicely done so thank you for all the hard work! Patty & Matt

For Kenney Grove Park Ventura County: Web site asks to do mobile payment for same day arrival. When arrived at 5, the gate is locked even though I see some cars inside. Looks like when they close the gate for day use, you can’t check in for camping anymore.

For Kenney Grove Park Ventura County: We booked this site mid summer for Labor Day weekend. Little did we know this would end up being the hottest day of the summer season, peaking at 115 degrees.
We camped at campsite #1. And this was the first back in site us relatively new RVers have ever negotiated. Hearing horror stories of several hour attempts by some, I was surprised when our 27 foot Airstream was in position within 10 minutes.
The campsite offered 30 amp power and water, though no sewer connection.
Pros:
Plenty of mature trees for shade
Decently clean bathrooms
Grassy area is available for baseball, lawn games etc. However, the kid slides and such were marked as off limits due to Covid.
Cons:
There really isn't anything to do nearby
Grocery store run is about a 2 mile trip
Some sites are a real challenge from a level perspective, so scoping out a specific site would be helpful.
In non Covid times there are a couple of things one might do in Fillmore, but the places I looked into were indefinitely closed due to Covid.
Night number one was super quiet. Though on our second night, the party noise didn't stop until nearly 2am. That was frustrating.
Would I stay here again? Been here, done that, somewhere else in the future.

For Kenney Grove Park Ventura County: Came here for our first weekend with our travel trailer and it was great. It’s a rustic county park with partial hook ups for $32/night plus $5 reservation fee - 2 night minimum. The park has probably seen better days. Not much going on in the day use area, so it seems like locals don’t seek this place out much in the spring. Just about every partial/full hook up site was being occupied though. Average age here 65+ so it was quiet and everyone was friendly. Only a couple sites down in the tent-only section were being used. Site 22 was not level and none are paved, but room was ample for us. Most sites did not have a fire pit. Place seems to get pretty buggy in the evening. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept. Park rangers came by to empty trash at least twice a day. No dump station here, but there is one nearby at the Fillmore water treatment plant for $15.
