For Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Resort (former KOA): Average at best. Lots of brown grass. Access a little tight for larger RVs. Staff was helpful and friendly.

For Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Resort (former KOA): Not sure where the five stars came from. Dusty, dry, no green grass, just average for the price.

Spudly
For Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Resort (former KOA): As previous reviewers have said, key is location between Avenue of the Giants area and Humboldt State Park including Fern Canyon.
I think they lost whatever momentum they may have previously gained putting in the play area. Staff were friendly, wifi was good. Our cable didn’t work so not sure where it might be available in the park but you can pick up a few channels OTA. Laundry room was very shabby and dirty, clothes left everywhere, bathrooms dated but clean. There are a few longer term residents here. Place is average and not particularly good value. Cabins looked nice.

CGzero
For Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Resort (former KOA): Former KOA, the sign on the highway is still there. It is behind the lumber yard. Office people were helpful, all hookup worked fine. The spots are gravel and not level. The kids playground was fun for the kids. They are improving it all the time, and it wasn't crowded like another place in town. It is perfectly located to enjoy the Redwood forest and we especially loved Fern Canyon, up the road about 30 miles to the gold beach turnoff.

- Trees / Shade: Very few, but with temperature only in the low 80s wasn't a issue

- Cell Phone: ATT - 2 bars of 4G

- Laundry: Yes, but didn't checkout or use
- Restrooms / Showers : Yes, but didn't checkout or use
- Propane: Didn't notice a tank
- Discount: AAA, Good Sam, and military
